Took the truck to Joshua Tree national park. Lots of hiking, a little mild wheeling, fell deeper in love with my 80.

I failed to fix my electric seats. Got the new plastic gears and end caps, pulled the seat, tore it apart, fitted new bits, sewed it all back together, tested it. It moved forward about an inch then stopped. Moves back OK. I must of missed something. Will try again next week and this time I will pay more attention to the instructions...[emoji15]

I had a problem a couple of weeks ago with a seat that only moved back, but not forward. It turned out on go the end caps fell out.
Make sure everything is in it's place.

You didn't get the tracks installed evenly, probably.

Or you got them installed evenly, and one of them shifted out of line as you reinstalled the seat.

I was particularly careful to make sure both tracks were aligned. I counted the threads on the rods and both sides were identical. I'm wondering if I have over tightened the plastic end cap.

Drained the fuel, removed the exhaust, driveshafts, t-case, IPOR pan, sliders, and some of the wiring loom in preparation for pulling the motor and trans for my diesel swap. Would have done more, but had to help my younger brother work on his Subi, which was not having a good day (blown radiator).
