Here are the brackets I came up with:I also did e90 seats curious what your bracket setup looks like. The canbus bypass was annoying fs.

Jealous!!!During the new head/amp install went ahead and replaced all of the dash bulbs…. My “D” is glowing…

It’s a little thing, but I’ve got to say, I’m glad that I went ahead and dug in to it while the dash was disassembled.Jealous!!!
Is your top Shock bolt tightened up enough? Looks like it isnt in the picGot the brake booster and master cylinder changed along with the accelerator cable. Also, rebuilt the fuel pump assembly. The tank looks remarkably good for being 32 years old!

The entire suspension is new and has not been dropped on the the tires yet. I have been waiting for that so I could put the final torque on everything. good eye!Is your top Shock bolt tightened up enough? Looks like it isnt in the pic
is there difrence in the height toyota vs bmw ?Another seat retrofit. This time I went with some nice seats. 2010 BMW E92 M3 seats. Lots of adjustability and seat heaters.
The bracket fab work was very straightforward as the BMW seat rails are flat on the bottom and the same from side to side. The electrical work was a bit of a challenge as these seats expect CANBUS. I also got the seat heaters working with a pair pf PWM controllers. They work awesome and are nicely adjustable in terms of heat intensity. I will add details to the seat swap compilation thread.

I just used the same press tool kit to replace all of my suspension bushings also. Great tools. Some of those bushings sounded like gunshots when i was pressing them out and they finally let go. the first time it happened it was shocking.Putting the 30 ton press to work! The @trailtaylor press kit is legit. All new bushings going in on everything. Also got all new body mount bushings all the way around took a couple weeks to come in from various vendors in japan and the local dealer.

I can’t say as my 80 had Corbeau Sport seats when I bought it. I read that those sit a little higher than stock seats. My new-to-me BMW seats are a little lower than the Corbeaus were.is there difrence in the height toyota vs bmw ?
i swaped my seats with land rover but did not like it being bit highet than toyota so i took it out
I rented a big A$$ torque wrench from Autozone and got the job done on 2 FZJ80's. it was cheap and not terribly hard to get done.I have an impact wrench that could remove it, my torque wrench only goes up to 250 ft lbs; I've watched a ton of videos (OTRAMM has a couple good ones) on how to do that job just not feeling confident in that one. oil pump gasket I could do, but you need the HB off first. Knuckles/birfields is a mess and a half with the wheel bearings at the same time. I'm not new to fixing cars, but I've stuck to moderate/easy repairs (i.e. A/C Compressor / pressure switches, spark plugs/wires, brake jobs, and lots of electrical things (last one was the rear blend doors on an Explorer)).
Appreciate the help though!
Distance with 20 bags of sand. Truck was not happy.
Installed one of the world’s most useless cup holders in the 96. An Amazon knock off of the JDM unit. Brings back memories of my 95 4Runner, which was my first ever nice vehicle (2 yrs old when I bought it).View attachment 4120913View attachment 4120914
