I should have taken pictures, but we took the kids apple picking in Hood River, OR. We came back with about 40 pounds of apples. The farm was in the shadow of Mt. Hood. Beautiful area.

Hit up Middle St. Vrain in Colorado with my dad in his FJ and in my Land Pig. Also got a new Smittybilt 5.6 CFM air compressor.

I finally picked up my big baby from the mechanics and got her all road legal yesterday after 6 weeks of work at home to save costs and 3 weeks at mechanics after I bought her for a low price but with many repairs needed to be road legal...front bearings replaced, front diff seal replaced, LPG tank replaced and rewired, front & rear shock bushes replaced, bullbar lights rewired, rear sway bar links replaced, dual battery bracket replaced, LED dash lights installed to replace blown bulbs, stock rims replaced ill fitting rims that were putting weight on lugs not hubs, speed sensor leak fixed, front brake leads replaced, handbrake tightened, could be more that I'm forgetting....plus I bought a height adjustable tow hitch for my new jayco camper I will be taking away tomorrow for our first trip now that both babies are finally here and legal.... My 80 still needs more work.... Will sell my old car and buy BF Goodrich All Terrains and a roof rack plus get the petrol fuel system operational (she's currently operating only on LPG - is a duel fuel system as is common here in Australia) and also, apparently the steering box(?) needs work and there's a little hole in exhaust that needs fixing ....but MORE THAN HAPPY FOR NOW...she's on the road and legal for 12 months...been a long haul to get her to this point - 2 months has felt like 2 years but was worth the effort and the wait and am still ahead of market value so very much worth it....feeling great to finally be driving her :)

Thanks alot!! Now I have to start saving up my pennies for a nice dual band mobile rig. ....

Received the FJ Cruiser fire extinguisher mount ($30 and included the factory mount attached to it). Only had to drill one hole to modify it to fit the rear grab handle location. Will be adding at least one super quick fist to help hold it in place, but the factory mount keeps it from rattling and it seems pretty secure.
Also got my Firestik am/FM antenna mounted. The kit included the 36" antenna 12' cable adapter to connect to factory antenna cable and the mounting hardware. Happy to have it mounted up to the Yotateq antenna mount. Ran the cable under the sill plates and panels on the passenger side and out next to the tail light. I think it looks pretty clean and was much easier than trying to replace the factory antenna that was dead. Nice to have more than a couple of stations again.
