My Duramax has a cowl induction hood w/ a sump that drains off water, was thinking of….ya know the thingJust think how much easier it will be now to replace your stock power antenna!
Like this?I have an idea, what about the upper third belt hole. Could you make a cover that would insert through the bolt hole and cover that whole area? Kinda like the black front door triangles that cover the mirror access?
Will not, need 17s. 16in tire availability is dwindlingWill this work with the stock 16s?
Yes it is. When the ole 81 needs tires next were moving to 17sWill not, need 17s. 16in tire availability is dwindling
What’s a good quality 17” wheel that has good fitment?Will not, need 17s. 16in tire availability is dwindling
Oem t4R or taco take off wheels with a 1” spacerWhat’s a good quality 17” wheel that has good fitment?
I like the icon rebound pros with 0 offset.What’s a good quality 17” wheel that has good fitment?
I have the same cover and was contemplating the same course of action. what dye did you use? How long did you let it soak?Put it off for like 4 or 5 years, but finally dyed my dash mat. Cut down on the glare of it’s reflection on the windshield.

He said has good fitment, any wheel you have to run a spacer on doesn't have good fitmentOem t4R or taco take off wheels with a 1” spacer
I used 1 whole bottle of Rit brand in approximately 7gal of (nearly boiling) water. I had it soaking for about a hour and I stirred and moved around often. I advise cutting a number of holes in the backside to help stop if from floating. It holds air extremely well. About like a canvas tent it was very hard to pre saturate it with water.I have the same cover and was contemplating the same course of action. what dye did you use? How long did you let it soak?
Anything that doesn’t require spacers?Oem t4R or taco take off wheels with a 1” spacer

I’ll upgrade soon. My shortlist is KMC and Evo Corse. I’m going for a 17x8.5 or 17x9 et-10 for just a little bit of poke.What’s a good quality 17” wheel that has good fitment?
They do, I just got one a month ago and it has the foam on it.Yes. The OEM Rad came with the foam. Not sure if they still do.
The EG covers fit just OK. Looks like the covers will not connect at the back of the seat on the bottom by about an inch to an inch and a half. I bought a roll of hook and loop velcro and am using that to tighten things up. Maybe it just needs to conform to the seats a little more. Really nice product though, its great for preserving the fabric.Those look great! I almost sprung for those about 3 years ago, as my right hand drive Aussie import has the same interior. But I ended up balking at the price tag and got Cover Craft instead. They've been good, but already starting to fray a little on the driver's side edge. They've probably got a couple more years in them, and then I'll likely spring for the Escape Gear after all.
Yeah it's tough moving on from the stock wheels. Some vehicles it's a no brainer but 80 wheels are great.. light, strong, almost indestructible it seems like, good looks. Tough to beat that with aftermarket@Dusten
@ikarus
You guys are amazing. Thanks for the advice.
I have 2 sets of oem wheels freshly powdercoated. I love the oem look but if 17s become more functional (which is what it’s looking like now) I might just go that route.
