Prepping for sound deadening. Looking forward to H152 swap and having 3 pedals.

Dropped it off at Land Cruiser Specialists in Austin for a tuneup, transfer case fluid change, heater/AC control swap, WKOF slider install, and sway bar quick disconnect install. I also asked that they double check to make sure brake lines will be long enough at full droop, and adjust the e-brake.

Need details! Mileage, specs, price 🫣. Nice find.
Haha my bad! 251k miles, leather inside intact, bone stock. Previous owner had head gasket done, cylinder head resurfaced, new water pump, new radiator, new oil pump, new fuel filter and pump, new thermostat, valve set & cover, spark plugs. Paint is still shiny, no D light, no cracks in dash, no leaks as far as I can tell though trim on sunroof needs to be fixed. Zero rust underneath. Lift and tailgate are dented though... He bought it in Nov, but sadly he and his wife are moving to Portugal. Receipts were provided for the work. He said he bought it for $6k, I happily paid him $11k. Sometime in the near future, I want to freshen up the drivetrain, rebuild birfs, etc as he had not gotten to do those yet. I replaced the starter today as well for peace of mind since it was struggling. I'm sure there are better deals out there, but I am happy with the deal I got on this one. I'll try to update with more pics this week/weekend and start a build thread.

Yeah, probably need more lift in the front when I drop the stops just so I do have some extra up travel on bumps.

Right now I'm on 35" cooper's which seems smaller than other 35's and have a 2' ironman lift with medium load springs on the front with 1/2" spacers and heavies on the back. I really like the low center of gravity approach so I'm aiming for that this on this build.

I'm planning on moving to 1 inch spacers on the front, stop extension and probably a shock extension so I don't loose some down travel.

Any thoughts on shock extensions like these?
Why don't you buy longer shocks? A shock with a shorter collapsed length will give you even more downtravel than spacing your current shocks.

Had a great time going up Peal Pass on the Ashcroft side until we couldn’t go any further. Felt like a hero plowing through some pretty decent sized drifts, being the farthest tracks by a pretty decent margin. Then we met our match. Luckily she came out pretty easy. After that we headed back down and had a nice night camping. Crazy how much snow is still in the high country we were still pretty far away from hitting tree line. It’ll be interesting to see if Pearl fully opens this year or not.

We didn’t do the v8 swap but have fixed a bunch of things on it now. The Cruiser came in with 29” tires and 3+” of lift. We took it down to about 1.5”, wheel resto and 285’s. Shop that did the v8 swap for some reason thought it needed that much lift, they don’t, 1.5” is enough. We also installed some front bumps frame side to prevent the tie rod into oil pan if the Cruiser say got a little air born.

Cheers

A couple of short pull videos, neither are full throttle.

Tons of wiring cleaned up in the dash, engine bay and chassis. Lots was getting roasted on exhaust and headers.
