Spent Saturday (early) getting the last of the Flex/Gorilla tape off of the sunroof.
Yeah, yeah, I knew I shouldn’t have but it was kinda needed.
But now that my electronic gremlins are no longer present, with the tape off the sunroof could (and does) seal all the way, but man, the drains…hoh’boy, were they bad. The drain holes were plugged solid and the pan had so much dirt and debris in it. My buddy and I cleared the opening and then snakes the tubes. Line was black when it came out.
Sunday went out to Tillamook forest and ran a “Level 5 Difficulty” trail…the old girl CHEWED UP EVERYTHING and spat it out like the champ she is. Not gonna lie though, we had a couple “pucker” moments that surged my adrenaline. But in the end…lots of fun with good people, good rigs, and good laughs.
I only dropped it into 4L once. And that was to get up a muddy (and Rocky) hill.
I’m the only Land Cruiser in the group and I was told by a few how impressed they were.
I need to get a go-pro.

The dealer will copy a key from an existing key without any docs (I'm guessing that's what they did for @Feldrian?) , but they won't (shouldn't?) cut a key from a VIN/lock code without proof of ownership. If they know you and know your truck though, maybe they won't bother asking for proof? The downside to the copy of an existing key is that it's just as "worn out" as the original it's copied from (I'm sure you're aware). Keys cut from the VIN/lock code are nice and crisp just like brand new.Maybe?? I'm a shifty lookin dude.
The Lexus dealer here said they couldn't cut without proof of ownership. Registration or title and than they'd cut the key.
Not sure that's the case with the Lexus keys - They have that funky internal grind and the dealership has had to measure the keys and put in codes to cut a new one, not just copy the worn rake on a regular key.The dealer will copy a key from an existing key without any docs (I'm guessing that's what they did for @Feldrian?) , but they won't (shouldn't?) cut a key from a VIN/lock code without proof of ownership. My '97 isn't triple locked, but she is fully stock (minus the stereo), down to the 265 AT tiresLockers?

At some point I might add lockers, but right now they are way down on the priority list.
In the almost 8 years I've owned her, I've never needed them. Then again, I'm not climbing rock walls at Moab![]()
