It sounds like your experience with Barry at The Rear End Shop was better than mine. He screwed up the installation of my locker and blamed it on faulty equipment, and since I didn't purchase the locker from him, he charged me again to go back in and fix it.
Sorry to hear that. That's sucks!
My experience is based only on "good" experience that I had with the shop but time will tell.

that sense of having forgotten something lingered.

This is how I feel most times after wrapping up a job on my rig. I find myself going back and triple checking things. I should just have a checklist of steps, with even dumb stuff like "make sure you have all your sockets".

Kid had an MRI scan today. I think she's okay, but whole thing a bit stressful

So took her for a wee road trip to the West coast afterwards. Excuse was to look at a plot. Wasn't the right property for us but fun to explore and in an awesome location on the banks of Loch Torridon

LC was impeccable. It's the perfect car for the Scottish Highlands. We have a lot of single track road with passing places, poor road surfaces and extreme gradients. Was really impressed with the amount of traction and stability we had coupled with the ability to throw it off the pavement when needed even at speed.

Drove some good roads too, and car happy to sit at 70mph at slightly less than 2.5 thousand revs. Great machine. Could do with another 50hp, but so much better than a diesel

Finally finished upgrading the door and dash speakers to pair with my existing 12" sub. And pioneer head unit. Mounted the amp on the back of the old subwoofer location, and the ground distribution block in the cubby right beside it. Used 9 wire speaker cable to utilize the factory wiring. Used 8x1.5" self drilling screws for the door speakers. 10/10 sound improvement

4 6.5" Polk Audio DB652s
2 4" Kicker 43DSC404s
Sound Ordnance M75-4 amp

Also found out the area around the seatbelt bolt bracket on the rear passenger side was rusted, was able to punch a hole through it. My buddy and I are gonna cut it out and weld in a new piece and a nut next weekend.

Since everyone has been getting stimulus checks, I went and pretended I got mine and got me/us 4.88. Can't wait!

Just got my 80 back from being re-geared. And to follow up with the 4.88, the OBD1 Bluetooth scan reader came in. Plugged it into the OBD1 diagnostic port & with an android phone im able to read the performance and I'm pretty happy. Now I can bring my 93 into the 21st century with this TOYOBD1.

Which Bluetooth OBD1 scanner did you get, if I may ask?

Swapped starters and put a new plunger and contacts in. Hopefully the intermittent no-start problems will go away even though wear didn’t seem to be that bad.

changed the oil and drained the catch cans.

I used the 80 as a parts runner on Saturday to pick up a new window assembly for the Tundra which got broken into. There's a special hell just for "smash and grab" thieves right?

Got my bumper and winch mounted... but I think I got the winch orientation backwards. Winch is a Warn VR Evo 12.

This just doesn't look right to me and it's my understanding that I can't just reverse how the cable is spooled due to the brake system in the winch. I wish I had noticed before buttoning everything up.

Could someone confirm that I did this wrong?

Looks like is is upside down? Rotate it 180* But the clutch is on the top right...You sure its a VR Evo 12? Hard to tell from the pic

I'll confirm this is incorrect. Cable MUST spool off of the bottom of the drum. 180* the winch, and re-clock the clutch lever and you should be good to go.
