Swapped out the LEDs on the HVAC control panel and added the CDL switch.

I agree, looks great! Would be awesome to get part numbers and sources if you could

25 years ago the Toyota Landcruiser 80 series was an expensive luxury SUV that was primarily driven to get groceries and such by rich suburban women, dentists and rappers.

Sound familiar?

Still is. New LCs are over 100k.

You finally back in a proper 80 series?

Client's truck. Rusty NY mess.

I'm waiting 5 more years or so for the 105 to be available to import one in. Dream truck. That will be my next wagon. HZJ105 or FZJ105. 100 series comforts (heated seats and sheeit) with 80 series epic-ness underneath.

Haha, you know you can put heated seats in pretty much anything, right :p

Not that I would argue with a hzj105... just sayin'

:edit: where do I buy that screw checker :o

No offense intended. Even though Utah is a desert we are known for our winters and snow, Utah is described as having “the greatest snow on earth”. Regrettably the roads here are salted in the winter too so I’m not completely ignorant to its effects. I’ll concede it may not be as extreme as the NE.
Im not offeneded at all, Im telling him to keep his caps because in winter I do we both live in boston and Boston is a nanny state salt goes down if it might snow and it eats the cone washers and axle studs like candy.

Last few weeks...
  1. Hit skunk with heater on full... THAT was pleasant :frown:.
  2. Masked skunk smell with annual application of Fluid Film. Now truck smells like skunky sheep :D
  3. Rotated tires. You know there is always one rim that is frozen to the hub?:bang: After kicking tire repeatedly , I finally notice that I forgot to remove one lug nut (in my defense it was nearly dark and it was in the shadow) - DOH!!! Note to self - must COUNT lug nuts.
  4. Driving home at dusk on Thursday I hit a headlight high doe deer full on at 35/40 mph. Bounced off the stock front bumper and went under both wheels. I was amazed that the only damage was a slight tweak of the bumper shell. Almost not noticeable if you weren't looking. The deer didn't fare so well, but at least it was quick.

Then last night I replaced my main instrument cluster 194 bulbs with LEDs. I like the green stock color, and so went with a green LED. These are actually potted (LED, not blade base) in a silicone like bulb shape that diffuses the light nicely. Color is spot on (for reference, gear selector lights are OEM incandescent) and they dim just like stock.

Note - If the dimmer switch is unplugged, no dash lights will come on. Had me scratching my head for a minute wondering why none of the new bulbs would light up as I had marked the polarity prior to installing.

Been wanting to upgrade to 2.5" shocks for a while now and finally got some Icon VS shocks. Just installed them last night and they feel very good. Excited to try them out on some dirt soon as I've got a few trips planned over the next couple months. They are LONG, I had to unbolt the panhard to drop the axle down to install them. Also installed some front bumpstop spacers from @Hitit66.

Did you get the CDC adjustable ones or just the Remote resi's? Seeing it next to your old Fox ones makes the Shock shaft look really beefy. Which I guess it is, by comparison. Long trips should see an improvement in performance with the extra oil capacity. No more fade if you've been getting any in the past.

Kept it simple and didn't opt for the adjuster. I knew I probably give myself a mental complex if I did go for it! haha.
