Got some new shoes! Then had to get some mud on them. Also found out Im headed back to PHX.

Used ole Grandpa Cruiser to go get parts for my son's first vehicle, a 2001 Cruiser. The starter decided to act up so ....disassembly time. The dang thing is under the intake! Threw my fit for a day or so then pulled up my sleeves and had a good father/son time working on his truck and getting it done. And bonus....it actually fired up and ran real nice when we were done! Woohoo! Oh..and he named it Jalepeno.

Well the transmission has finally given up the ghosts after 14,000 miles I think. Drove her all day with no problem besides the one described a few months ago which turned out to be the torque converter. Mustang was stuck at a fishing hole and I decided to gently pull it (didn’t go over 2500 rpms. Let the 80 sit running for a minute and come back to an at temp light. Let it sit for 30 minutes and light came back on, pull over on base and fluid is pouring from underneath. Going to see if I can limp her to the parking lot about 2 miles away once it cools again, let’s hope I can make it. Pics from today

I came across a Meme showing that starter location with a caption about why mechanics hate engineers. I never imagined that was a Toyota design. Unreal.

Trans cooler hose rupture?

I believe it’s actually a seal where the transmission and engine meets. There’s a small gap in between both where I saw fluid leaking last night, can get better pics later today.

Hit up and spent the night up at Wheeler Lake. Saw @ExpoMax on the road going up. Cruiser ran like a top still in aw of what a rear locker does for this thing

Spent a few days at Ningaloo Station, great beaches but crap track to get in there towing the caravan. Snapped a fanbelt on the beach, that has been our only breakdown so far this trip and we have covered around 9000 km of remote Australia

Its a bit late in the season here in Idaho (70's - 80's)
But so far no change, I plan on going intercooled (waic) soon, so it will be a non issue.
These lights are bad a$$! Worth the cost of membership!
Daytime running lights, low beams and high.. 12000 lumes each!
