I have the same cooler. So far it works pretty good, not as impressive as i was hoping though. I try to precool them the day before big use, toss a bag of ice in it. I need to do more testing though. I think i overload it with drinks and not enough ice.

I have an orca that i swear is magic or something, it keeps things as cold as a refrigerator, but the seal will cause it to be very hard to open, gotta open a drain for half a second to get tge vacuum out of it.
Cool your drinks before putting them in the cooler and you'll maintain low temps longer. :)

Learned if you used bypass caps on your rear heater delete mod, it's best to keep an eye on them...

About 19 months old and 25,000 km.

What do you need a cap for if you deleted rear heat :meh:

Bypass caps are just abyour bypass cap is typical of most caps, failure is right on the end.
The end gets soft and expands from the heat/pressure.
The way i have gotten those to work is a plug in the end of the pipe and then use the rubber cap to seal it off and keep the plug in place.
On one of my old cars i founnd a ball bearing that was a snug fit, tapped it in and then capped.

I don’t know what you are implying, I’m pretty sure I am just like every other 80 owner out there. I put my flip flops on one foot at a time, and pose for impromptu photo shoots while I pump my own gas just like everyone else.

Hmm yeah are those orca coolers the “tie-die” looking coolers? Either way I like those pretty well. I’m coming from a wack igloo so I’m pretty stoked to enter the roto-mold.
They make all sorts of colors, just like the other brands. Im 99% sure i dont use enough ice, its a great cooler, but not a refrigerator lol

Ah, back to coolers, for got to mention besides the Yeti, I have a Pelican in the same 45 size. Works better than the yeti, but takes up too much room to fit right where I want it, probably 50% more insulation in those. Should probably trade it or sell it for 80 parts.

Pelican is who i use for gun cases. They’re awesome

Apparently there is a national back-order on Bilstein front shocks for my 91' 80. All the rest of the parts for a front axle/ front end overhaul are coming in this week, except for these.
Searched the internet and came up with other peoples experiences where the wait was either a couple weeks or up to 6 months. My problem is that the rear shocks already came in, and I want to match all four. Does anyone have any insight? If its going to take too long I would rather order different shocks, which means I have to return the rears (pita with my schedule). I'm still just baselineing, so no lift for now. No vender has been able to pinpoint a date for me yet. So, has anybody dealt with this in the past? If so, how long did it take to resolve the backlog?

Send the rears back and buy Tough Dog or OEM Tokico Shocks. Problem solved.

Coleman Marine Coolers are great as well and a third of the cost $$
I got my 65 quart for 165 shipped on some sale. I like that its fde in color since thats the color my 80 is going to be.

My biggest complaint is the feet pull out of it easily if dragged. I need to figure out a glue that will stick to the feet, i think theyre silicone.

You are right, I did not want to have to return the rears and reorder, but it is the smart decision. Thanks for the push and advice on brand.

I've been looking into replacement shocks for my OME, and have decided on the Tough Dog. They are getting excellent reviews.
