Two new sets of WeatherTech mats. Now all 3 80s have them. Just in time for my 92 to be garaged for the winter!

I need to look into these! I always used Husky liners, but like everything else the quality has dropped tremendously. These liners you have look tight though! Perfect fit from what I can see! Did you order thru Mud Vendor?
The front are great, the rear not so much. I got the 2nd row in Oct. '15 & had to have Weathertech warranty it. The 2nd row is thinner than the fronts & the shape deformed after about 6 months. The new one isn't any thicker & doesn't even fit as well as the first one I got so I'll probably be getting my money back for it. The 2nd row mat reminds me exactly of Husky's, which I think are trash.

I only buy the fronts because of what @LFD2037 said. Plus I don’t have people in the back seat often. Or ever in my 93 (no second row seats). I keep a couple of towels in each rig just in case.
You ever go wheeling with brand new JKUs? I do, mostly to drag them back to a road where CAA (AAA) can find them. With my 23 year old rig.
I think there's just a certain charm to classic cars.

I get that a 40 isn't for every cruiser fan. However, most that I have interacted, as well as my own experience, once you spend some time driving one for a bit of time there is a connection that develops. 40's have a character that most newer vehicles just don't have. No arguing that typical SUA leaf springs aren't gonna ride great, they're noisy, drafty, slow....all of the things you mentioned. There are solutions for those things. In the end a Jeep Wrangler of any type has never, nor will ever have the same character of an FJ40. The fact that a massive number of wranglers are driven by women, and there are very very few women that drive 40s should also tell you something.
I'm with you though, I don't like everything from Toyota, eh...FJCruiser, or from any other brand. So just to be clear, I'm not trying to convince you that your opinion of 40s is wrong. It's fine for you but I'm one that definitely feels differently about them.
