Anything wrong with leaving the stuff in place and just plugging the line going to them? That's what I did on my 62, cuz they were very rusty and starting to weep.

Absolutely not its just a type A thing. It does open up access to the area a little more with the lines removed.

Got tired of reaching for tools in my tool bag and not being able to find them so I turned this mess

into this...

What brand of tool roll is this. Looks awesome.

I guess I forgot to mention it, but I made it. Its made of 18oz waxed canvas and 6oz leather.

Really looking good. I did a Google search after this post and didn't see anything like this. Nice Job.

Man keep that 4runner! My 86 was my first Toyota wagon and it's one of the few vehicles I deeply regret getting rid of. If you got it for so cheap then why not keep it?
Where the 80 is like a pack mule, the 4Runner is like a billy goat. Man I loved that thing!

Dang I've been busy.

Saturday was the Rising Sun swap in Golden. Met some great people, saw some Cruisers and other Toyotas that blew my mind, sold my fender flares, and picked up a @AdventureToolCompany padded tool pouch to go along with my shop roll (that they were stoked to see).

On the way home I had to U-turn to make sure this guy was ok. He was on his way to the Rally when his 55 overheated. He thanked me for stopping but I could tell he wasn't in the best mood (nor would I be).

And in a mind-blowing twist of fate.... this thing followed me home yesterday. Blame the wife, she found it. Got it for a song, DOES NOT run. Owner parked it 2 years ago and hasn't moved it since.... again to say that I got it cheap would be putting it mildly. Not a freakin clue what the vision is for this thing???? Get it running and sell it? Keep it for a cruising rig? No idea but the wife loves it.

It's an 89, with 150k, automatic, with the 3vze dreaded V6. Looks like I'll have to venture into the unknown and explore the "other" side of MUD for info.

If you want pucker factor, hit up Schofield Pass in the rain ;)
I use to live in crested butte and gunnison, I've hit schofield pass the punch bowls in the first snow, used to be lit worse in early 2000s there were ledges or steps near the bottom, the forest service blew them out I believe due to google maps and other things sending people that way to Aspen.

@beno i miss the green chili at efrins, so tasty

I have been working on a custom rear bumper for my truck for about a week now. Got it all finished up last night. The spare arrived today :bounce:

The goal was to have it as high clearance as possible. I cut over 4 inches of the frame rails. Then I proceeded to tuck a 2x2x1/4 steel tube under the tailgate. A Trail Tailor spindle then got mounted sideways to the center, and more 2x2 welded to that. To have a spare, and to keep it ultra high clearance I knew a swing out was out of the picture. I therefore went for the swing down. Currently it just takes a bit of muscle to rotate up and down. Eventually I plan to mount a small winch to the roof, so it'll be push button up/ down.
