545mm = 21.4567" which is .25" taller than an OME 850J front. What is the specs on the shocks?

With the rates at F. 180/270lb & R. 180/320 that is a set up for a heavy rig. Will TD offer a lighter duty coil?

Just for reference my Slinky F. 160/260 & R. HD 160/320 the intermediate rear is 160/270

Just to let all know I'm a strong believer in the dual rate coils for an 80 series. Welcome to the 21st Century. I choose the Slinkies for the longer down travel, but I will always be PRO dual rate no matter the brand.
We now have OME, Icon, Slinky & Tuff Dog in the game.

i didn't know icon made springs? I thought they just made s***ty shocks! lol...you forgot TJM, Slee!

Hey John what's up? TJM & Slee are progressive type coils last time I checked Sir...

I have the slee 4" HD progressive rears. The "progressive" portion at the top of the spring is pretty much collapsed under the weight of my unladen 80. Christo Slee told me that the "progressive" coils affect how the spring works with the shock.
I took that to mean once the stiff, less compressed, section is completely extended, the upper wraps with then decompress effectively keeping my spring in place and offering some downforce on that tire.
I really like the slee springs when they are loaded and I'm on rough terrain especially sketchy side hills. For now OME L shocks do the job fine at that price. I don't believe a "best of both worlds" suspension exists. With every change comes compromise.

Winch under factory bumper. Some "scratches" filled. Repainted bumper. Installed. With anti-seize, this time.

@GW Nugget you never spell my name right!!

@bhsdriller i have had my 89 for around 2 years now, but I just got 37's a few months ago. Before that it was on some old 315's. It's much larger now.

It's also my wife's car now. As she needs the 3rd row to haul around all 4 kids.

changed the oil, wish it was something a little more fun but at least I was working on the landcruiser.

Treated her to a night in the garage so she can ride out the storm without getting hurt...:). I think i can even see a little smile on her face....

Looks great! what did you use to paint it? Details on the winch plate would be great too.

Not quite the weekend, but I hear the sound of my awesome daughter and my favorite white 97 Cruiser coming up the driveway, home from school for the weekend. Happy now!

It will likely be down in my area by lunchtime. I'll watch out for it...:flipoff2:
Only 3 of the four wheels are on it, so keep an eye out for the fourth separately ;)

Looks good @Bludozer !

There's another thread about that blue paint, right now. You might drop in and let them know your color code. ;)

Thanks! Really liking the big tire +no lift combo appearance. Definitely won't be loving it on the trail though.

Obviously I'm biased but there is no better color on an 80 than nightshadow pearl blue :worms:
