Could you elaborate on the adaptors? No, check that link I attached in the original post. You use the stock sliders but make some adapters to mount them.
Pretty easy

Just realized that link I posted doesn't take you to the actual post but think it's on page 3 or 4.Could you elaborate on the adaptors?
Ok thanks for sharing that. That process may be beyond my abilities. Where did you get the materials? Sorry for all the questions but I really want to understand how to do this.Just realized that link I posted doesn't take you to the actual post but think it's on page 3 or 4.
You’ll need four of these brackets (only 2 if you just have one seat) that are made of 2” flat bar that are 3/16” thick. I drilled and tapped the flat bar to take the stock seat hardware (8mm x 1.25).

@sacfj60 , not bein' a dick, but why would that be beyond your capabilities? I'd ask @bhsdriller what the center line spread is on the width of flat bar between the seat mount hole n the bracket mount hole. Lengthwise to my eye the pattern is symetrical around the centerline. Don't be askeerd of it. Any steel fabricating shop would sell you what you need.Ok thanks for sharing that. That process may be beyond my abilities. Where did you get the materials? I am not here to please anybody but bully for you being so mechanically inclined. dare I admit I have never heard of a thread tap or is that going be a problem for you too?@sacfj60 , not bein' a dick, but why would that be beyond your capabilities? Make us proud, try your hand at it
Thanks for that, I appreciate the advice. I get the drilling part but am only now getting familiar with threading the steel. I also need to figure out the thread size. Just gathering info as I haven’t even taken the seat out yet to look at what I need to do.if you have a drill and drill bits it is super easy. Measure the distance and drill the holes. get the proper bolt hardware to attach. I think they sell the metal at home depot even.
I need to drive Betty down there to join in the fun.Went off-roading with friends, sand bashing, dunes & cave exploration.
Exactly what my FJ62 was meant to be doing ....

So I've been reading through this thread over in the 80 section and it's nice to see all the cool things that people have done to, and with their 80's. I did a search, but didn't find one in the 60 section, so I thought I would start one. If one already exists, I appologize!
So, what did you do with your 60 this weekend?
Me?
-Fixed the Tail light and fuel gauge wiring issues.
-greased the front driveshaft
-topped up the PS, coolant, brake and clutch reservoirs
-found the coolant leak, replaced a bad hose clamp.
-filled my veggie tank so I'm ready for the week!
Most pictures of this would be pretty boring, so instead I'll include one from a few weekends ago, when I spent about an hour and a half chipping 1/2" of ice off my truck. (We had pretty bad freezing rain)! Yes, that's a rock chipping hammer...

I scraped off an old K&N filter sticker from the top of my air filter housing the PO unfortunately affixed to it. Why? Who knows, but it's gone. also rotated a few tires, 4 of them.So I've been reading through this thread over in the 80 section and it's nice to see all the cool things that people have done to, and with their 80's. Replaced rear window seal. Old one, the chrome strips were flaking and missing a piece. Got the new one from City Racer, the new one matches all my other windows that have no chrome either so that’s a plus. Wasn’t too bad by myself,View attachment 4084914 start to finish 1 1/2 hours. I got luck no rust to be seen under old seal.
