What did you do with your 60 this weekend? (77 Viewers)

Awesome. Taking my new foam seat from SOR into the shop Monday for replacement and a proper patching.

I’m worried being 6’4” that I’ll need to put a sunroof into the 60 with all the added height I’m about to gain.

I'd hold on to the passenger seat foam just in case. It really really put me up in the air. I'm 5'8" and I'm truly wondering if you will like it.

Forgot to update all the recent work. Installed new Terrain Tamer suspension. Completely rebuilt the front end and did a de-smog. Finally, installed new exhaust from the manifold back. This rig runs and drives so much better. The old suspension was flat and PO tried to address with shackles. The ride was horrible. All improved now. Not sure on the next project. Any ideas?

I've never seen the specs on Trail Tamer suspensions. Where did you get it?

Not really the weekend any more but I 99% finished my exhaust manifold-back. Still need to add o2 sensor bungs. This should take care of the exhaust leaks and ground clearance issues of the factory downpipes. This all bolts into the stock hangers and the lowest point is higher then the bottom of the oil pan.

Set out this morning to simply swap out plugs, wires, etc. (parts from @beno) but a compression check led to a valve adjustment. All back together now. Dug into in the parts stash and found a NIB valve cover gasket that I purchased in 2001 .

Steel half inch all thread. Served me well for two years with some heavy offroading and crawling. For the price you can't beat it. Will be even better now with with a steel pipe as reinforcement.

An now an update. Drove Big Red around town with the new sway bar extensions, they are awesome. Almost 0 body roll. Then took the family for a bike ride and burgers.

I replaced my old, worn out electric mirrors with euros last month, didn't like the look and now have OEM manuals installed. If anyone wants the euro mirrors they are up for grabs for $100.

Bought some rub rails from Jason at Trail Tailor and got them installed today.

Wasn't able to go deer hunting today with my daughter so ....... It was a maintance day on the Cruiser. Got the front wheel fender skirt cut out of EPDM 70 rubber and installed. Also flushed the coolant system. I used Prestone radiator flush from Wal-mart. $2.66 at Wal-Mart and $10.49 at O'rielly auto parts. Enough for me to buy a new 18 inch windshield wiper blade from a 1994 4 Runner for my Cruiser !!!!!!! Slowly getting ready for winter. Used a new hole punch set from Habor Freight to make the holes for retainer.
