What did you do to your pig today?

I shuffled the deck recently:

Just moved some of the inventory around, and blew a solenoid on the 78's winch and discovered the transfer case wouldn't leave 2H. All this because the 73 in the garage refused to fire.

That's a cool picture, but it's what I'm afraid of doing again. I seem to collect stuff. Did it with VW's, always had a half dozen of them sitting around. You're feeding my addiction! :)

Apply , Sand, Repeat.

Again, again, again, again.

I spent 10 hours in the garage and it felt like ground hog day or I'm getting high from body filler fumes. I'm trying to get the roof straight for primer after the previous owner caved it in by standing on it. I probably have another coulple of hours to go.

Photo looks the same as last week.

Ron, one of the other reasons the trucks got moved was so I could work on 59 & 69 VW pans. Not to mention the KLR and Vstrom.

But I have issues. :(

Still getting to know my piggie, so I figured I would start with a heater restoration. Pulled the front unit and cleaned/painted/flushed/re-foamed, then realized I should pull the heater fan unit and give it the same treatment (ended up using 1/4"x1.25" closed cell camper foam BTW, works well). That turned into thinking about the rear heater unit (now restored), which of course required pulling the front seats. So........gave the floor a good clean and scrub, and discovered a rabbit hole that had been covered by the PO with bondo (when does PO turn to POS?).

Now I see why so many of these little pigs sit in pieces. Seats are out, heater is out, I have great access to the dash, heck, maybe I should just start cutting metal while I'm at it..........or so my thinking goes.......

The strange thing is that the process is really enjoyable. Must be the allure of the swine.....

Did you talk him out of dealing with his tailgate and talk him into giving the pig to you?

I was catching up on this thread and was going to talk about the back window options. The PO on mine made a window frame that opens clam shell style. Its a little redneck for me but I do have a design in the works that will open like a hatch but also like a solid garage door. It will hinge in the middle then slide up so that it misses the spare tire. Otherwise. I will still need to open the back swing to open the window. I like keeping it open so I can smell more exhaust.

Sad to see it go. I regretted letting my first one go and this one was even better, kinda wonder if I'll ever acquire another. Long live the pigs! Glad it's going where it'll get the attention it needs, enjoy Bob.

John, you are a Great person to deal with like most of the gang here. All very trustworthy and willing to help each other. You will get another PIG:pig:. And who knows it might be this one.:). Thanks for working with me even when I get ANTSY. She is on the way home.

Thanks Bob.:beer::beer::beer:
