Tony,

Here's a couple of the new ones I'm putting on. I moved some stuff around and had to cut the last pair off and start over.

The part number from Ford is E5TZ-18183-A Twenty five dollars a piece from the dealer.

Ron,
Wow!! I like those!! Nice and compact. I think those will work great! Did you sleeve your bolt holes, bolt + weld?
Thanks for the heads up!!
Tony

Tony,

I just welded the first pair and rosette welded the holes, but I had to move them over a couple inches, so I bought two more. I also moved the sway bar bracket over as well, they are bolted with sleeves. You can cut the bracket down or if needed, change the angle it sits off the frame, in order to get where you need to be with your shocks.

My first pig still waits. This 75 has the best roofline I've ever seen. I think the headliner was torn out early when initially butchered. Also from dry parts of Oregon like the pig I sold to Bob. Outside of Arizona and California I think the best dry trucks come from the dry belt of Washington and Oregon. This truck is a local legend to me and my friends in Montana before a lot of stuff got shut down, we had way too much fun in this beast...

It finally stopped raining here, so I washed it off and took it to a car show. People went nuts! So many people with Camaro toxicity came up and said it was their favorite. I was surprised at the number of women who came up to look at it. Not just women who were humoring their boyfriends either. It was cool, and great to be out prowling around in the Pig!

My little guy hanging with the Pig.

I bought her a new battery, and some oil...

oooh hoo hooo! fire up the sawzawl!!! the poor service pig has been grazing of late...my new 55 mile, 4000 foot each way commute has got me side-graded to my grampas old 93 extracab pick-up...it has A/C and gets 21 MPG. :meh:...this gives me the chance to get the front axle and suspension project under way without having to get it done in a weekend. I have missed the pig smell of late; altho even after 8 months of not smoking in it, it still smells like an asstray. which is ok, because it is a solid reminder of how stupid I had been all those years, and a good reason to not be so stupid ever again...My advice on a fj55 truck, is to keep the cabin as long as you can allow for visually...and get some A/C

I finally popped the studs out and separated the old discs from the hub assy. Scraped a bunch of oil, grease and dirt (mixed) from the knuckles off an '83 minitruck. I hope to pick up a rebuild kit next week and get some disc brakes up front. I still need to purchase an MC & booster

Does any one up near FoCo have access to a bead/media blaster? ... Need to clean up the knuckles for paint. I'll get as much s*** off of them as I can with a brush and cleaner first.

There is a powdercoat place on Link Ln, right across from where the strip club used to be, I think they might have a blaster?

Isn't today national "take your pig to work day"? Thought it was so off I go...Arnold's going to work with me

Even though I just put HEI and a Rochester on the ole pig, I yanked the motor out tonight....In favor of a Chevy 350 and automatic. I feel like a weenie typing that, but dammit i want an auto for once in my life.
Was less difficult than I thought for an engine that weighs 600lbs. Now I gotta try to sell it.....runs good still.
