Galley powdered and almost ready to install. Added a hi-lift bracket that will need to be painted.

Almost finished the electrical behind the galley, so I can bolt on the galley.

I’ll add the built in National Luna after installing.

Truck looks great! Been looking for one of those barn door DIESEL emblems, where'd ya find if you don't mind sharing?

Built a new 1HZ cylinder head assembly.

Drove yesterday to Flagstaff. First long trip - 750 miles - non stop and the rig was fantastic. Carried on the roof, a 60 roof for the body shop here and it still did 20.3 mpg climbing to 8000'. Car has 2100 miles now and oil is still clear.

First morning it was actually cold. Engine started fine but fuel gauge is dead. Truck seemed to take forever to warm up and provide interior heat. After engine cooled I found it was about 1 gallon low on coolant. I put more antifreeze in and pulled out the gauge cluster to check electrical connections. I’ll put it sll back in tomorrow.

Question for the HZJ77 owners out there (or really any 76/77 and prado 78 owners). I had ordered 2X of the 62741-60060 which is the weatherstrip for the rear side windows but when I attempted to install it, it came out to be longer. Not sure what I am doing wrong so I reverted back to the original parts for now. The originals are fine fortunately and installed back easily but I was just replacing all of it while I was at it.

Have any of you ever installed new weatherstrip for the rear side windows and came across this problem?
I know this is a bit of late reply but I searched that part number last weekend when we did ours and this post came up.

Had no issues on our KZJ78 with that part number. With that said when I held it up I thought too long as well, but during install we pushed the weather stripping towards itself once it was on the frame almost like kneading bread and it fit.

We also replaced the rubber grommets and washers and it was very noticeable improvement in rattle reductions.

I figured I was doing something wrong. The new ones does look longer than the originals that I pulled off (and put back on). Thank you for confirming.

I will try them again at a later time.

I promised myself (and some others...) that I wouldn't use my 70 series in the Winter....

I lied:eek::flipoff2:

I'm currently using it to effortlessly lift a large (approx. 6' x 4' x4") Maple slab that we're working on for our kitchen.....The bottom is taped, time to flip it and fill some holes/voids with epoxy.....I added the red redirect ring/pulley so I can more easily flip the slab.....creepy, the reflection in the window turns the 70 into a 200....:hmm:

While waiting for some engine rubber bits from Partsouq, I got the Renogy 200w solar panel installed to the Alu-innovations top. Used some 8020 brackets (corner braces) I had sitting around. Panel sits about 1" lower than the little wood rack thingy that came with it. I also have an Alucab load bar that I'll put in front of the panel so I can carry lumber on top if the need arises. I'll wire it in a bit later. Just needed to get this out of the garage.

When you wire it up, i would love to see what you do. Im learning!
