My side of road pic from last night is less depressing but the drive was also more boring.

Just mentioned to a friend & fellow engineer the other day: "As engineers, we rate those jobs crap, but as a bush mechanic, I'd like to know how long such a job would actually last ..."

Hello,

Just as there is a thin line between redneck and genius, there is a thin line between bush mechanic and poor engineering.

I guess it is a matter of having at least some idea of what you are doing.

While waiting for some engine rubber bits from Partsouq, I got the Renogy 200w solar panel installed to the Alu-innovations top. Used some 8020 brackets (corner braces) I had sitting around. Panel sits about 1" lower than the little wood rack thingy that came with it. I also have an Alucab load bar that I'll put in front of the panel so I can carry lumber on top if the need arises. I'll wire it in a bit later. Just needed to get this out of the garage.

Hard to tell in this pic but the road was pretty much all ice this morning. No salt out yet, so I decided to take the truck to work. Took it easy on this stretch at about 80kmh. Lots of ups and downs on my backroad commute and traction control was shared between my feet, hands and brain. Even with 50k kms on them the ko2s still acquit themselves pretty well as long as you don't give them any sudden inputs.

I happened to have about 300 pounds in sandbags and concrete behind me, so that probably helped?

All you have to do is watch a few of the "Just Rolled In" videos on youtube and you'll realize that most of the time it is the customer making those decisions.

Galley powdered and almost ready to install. Added a hi-lift bracket that will need to be painted.

Almost finished the electrical behind the galley, so I can bolt on the galley.

I’ll add the built in National Luna after installing.

The galley is a work of art. Kudos. Nominally, what is the empty weight?
Thanks. I have to weigh it. My guess 60-80 lb. I’ll keep updating.
