Continued on the turbo install today. Dropped oil pan. Cleaned pan and installed turbo oil drain in to pan. Bolted up exhaust manifold. Relocated power steering fluid tank (this was actually one of the more difficult time consuming tasks). Relocated fuel filter. Put 1/4" foil backed adhesive duct insulation on firewall side of battery and areas close to turbo. Bolted up turbo and ran oil lines..............Then it began to rain and I'm working outdoors............Left to do- connect downpipe to rest of exhaust, finish heat wrap of turbo, insulate/heat shield AC lines, plumb air intake filter-turbo-manifold.......It should be running tomorrow.

Left over from your BJ74 would be my guess.
It makes sense now. :)

Took "Bogan" up Pacheco Canyon above Santa Fe with my lady and our old dog Max. With the 12HT powering this thing and the H55F, it reminded me a lot of my old HJ61. I have a lot to do on this 4wd, like remove the rediculous body lift, remove the bush built aux tank that has never worked in lieu of OEM tank, POR15 the underside in prep for winter here at 7,000', Dynamat Extreme the whole cab, bucket seats, armor the underside, and other misc items. Luckily @Gus did all the maintenance I hate doing when he had it and @joekatana did such a great job cutting out the rust and welding in new panels. It's not a perfect rig but I like them with character. Plus, I can't afford a perfect rig!

Pics on the heat wrapping? Wonder if I should do more on mine ... Didn't think the AC lines were close enough to be affected, but am rethinking....

I've owned several Land Cruisers since I owned that particular one and I honestly don't remember. (Then again at my age I don't remember what I had for lunch).
I'm confident that the tires are 33x10.50's because I put that size on all of my Cruisers. The same size thats

on this 77 Series.

33 x 10.5 means 15" wheels, right?

I am not sure 15" wheel will clear the 4runner calipers I am using. I love that tire size too.

Put new OME front springs on to repalce the old OME springs.
Found a dented brake line on front axle.

Bent a new line. I can never get it to match the original exactly.
The bender I use often gets in its own way or I don't fully understand the methods.

I wanted to install a longer rear brake hose since no one did that when the truck was lifted pre-me.
Torqued the hard line that comes out of the LSPV so I had to bend a new one of those too.

Looks great, can you share some details/pictures on the hood scoop setup? Is there a build thread on here with it?

Went camping.

Chilly morning, ice on the windows, frozen dog-water, toasty in the camper though.

View from above camp, love the desert in the spring.

Still a few things to do but the truck looks 100% better with the correct brushbar.

Got my crankcase valve cover vent tube plumbed to my inner air filter housing instead of the manifold(so I'm not boosting my crankcase after turbo install). Removed my turbo oil supply brass fittings and line re-assembled with Teflon tape and a nylon plug in the line with a 1/16" restrictor hole to reduce oil pressure/flow to the turbo..........Running good, no oil leaks, not overheating, crankcase blowby fumes being reconsumed and burned by the engine instead of flowing out under the hood. Went for a country ride for a bout a hour and all seemed well.

I started repairing the back door hinge. I drilled out the old jammed pin, now I know the dimensions of the bearing bushes so I can order a suitable one and make a new pin from tool steel.

Oh yeah, while repairing the hinge, I also painted the car. 🙂

Not something I'll use very often in Southern Georgia. :)

Went to Napa at lunch to get V-belts for the 13BT against my better judgement...

Parts-bro: how can we help
Me: I need some belts for alternator and PS, number 22474, 22706
Parts-bro: what do those go on
Me: A vehicle that was never in the US
Parts-bro: what numbers?
Me: Lets look up 22474
Parts-bro: (feverishly typing) what did you say this was off of?
Me:  Toyota Land Cruiser, not from US,
Parts-bro: (naming different applications) any of those?
Me: Can you get the belt and whats the price?
Parts-bro: Whats's A Hino?
Me: So you can get it?
Parts-bro: I can get it in a few days, $32.00
Me: what about the other belt?
Part-bro: Whats a Zetor? 8.0L diesel? sound familiar?
Me: You know what, let me get back to you, i want to double check my part numbers
Parts-bro: Did you say it was a Mitsubishi?

At that point, I left, went back to the office and found Gates 22474 for $4.18, and 22706 for $9.61 from Rock Auto and paid $26.00 shipped.

Yes, same here.
Those parts guys are like computer 'bots.
They can't or won't listen and seem like they cannot think anymore.
Pre-virus I would walk past the counter and start checking their stock directly.
Probably be arrested for that now.

This brake line is a lifesaver....get yourself some 10mm fitting and you're all set. A joy to work with.
