Oops, brain fart. Have tix for My Morning Jacket with a guy we usually see Turtles with. Would love to see Dead Man Winter. Missed them by one night last time I was in Seattle :bang:

We saw Dave Simmonet and Carl Broemel at Cat's Cradle when they were here last. Was great and Carl was really good.

Dead Man Winter is here at the Cat's Cradle on May 23rd.

I would love to see My Morning Jacket. I need to listen to more of their stuff.

I used to go to the CC all the time when I was at school there. Great venue. I saw Soundgarden there when they were just fledglings. Hmmmm....feelin' kinda' old right now....

I have a love/hate relationship with Cat's Cradle. Decent sound, terrible bathrooms, can be horrible line to get a beer, nowhere to lean... but there's something about it that's "grungy" enough to make me like it. Not to mention, I stay out of that town as often as possible.

We can adjust this for just about any city.

I have no idea how I managed to avoid Cat's Cradle for almost 25 years, both as a musician and a guest. They always got some great bands. Wait...maybe that's why I never played there. :grinpimp:

Gary Clark Jr is opening for MMJ, btw! They will be in Charlotte on the 8th and Raleigh on the 9th.

Nirvana was there in '91. I had done been gradudated by then though.

I tried like hell in about 96ish to see HoverCraft there when allegedly Eddie Vedder showed up to play with his wife. No idea if it was true or not, but we called everyone we knew back then trying to get tickets and none were to be had - word had gotten out that something was up.

Hell yeah! Another reason we picked this show for sure, but we don't miss MMJ in Raleigh anyway! Jim James is a true freak and a joy to watch live.

Be glad, sort of. Always a chore to park and deal with the area, but they made it worth the hassle with great bands. Saw Trampled there once back in the day and it was awesome!

RIP Chris Cornell. Glad we made the San Fran Temple of the Dog show. I have chills listening to this right now, literally:

"Total Fxxxing Godhead" - used to wear this early Soundgarden tour tshirt all the time. RIP, Chris.

Listening to Chris Cornell on Pandora all day. RIP.

If this don't get your toe tapping, check your pulse....

I am sure that most of you are quite familiar with this song. I grew up in the church and also in a house that always had music in it. I am more a spiritual man than I am a religious man. All throughout my life I have found that after a day that frustration reigned supreme I could listen to this song and find peace, if only for a moment.

Alan Jackson is a favorite of mine, he does not disappoint.

Love Alan Jackson. We moved to Georgia about the time I was "discovering" classic country and he was getting famous - so listened to a lot of his stuff around that time :)

@mtweller :

Last night Heather and I saw Dead Man Winter. It was great. Dave played "Whisky" and "Midnight on the Interstate" during his three solo songs. Encore was Neil Young's "One of These Days."

That's awesome! Hate we missed it, just exhausted after a whirlwind business trip Sun/Mon - so we opted to stay home :(
