This is what I passed on (Your welcome Michael). It was tuff holding out for what I wanted, but it happened better than I could have dreamed! Actually "The Little Red Truck" practically found me!

Oscar offered me this Red H2 Diesel 45 at one time, but I didn't have the cash.

Thats JPs Sea Foam Green LWB-- I have heard if you flash the right amount of cash, he can be a motivated Seller sometimes! Thanks for turning me down JP!!!

fine looking machines there Hendog, especially the 45. Looking forward the many stories that will come with it!

Nice new toy. It looks like it worked out for both of us. There is no way I would fit in a SWB 45. The LV on the other hand has plenty of room to stretch out.

I hear you drive that thing everywhere, I know your smiling all the way!

Hey Hendog- didn't know you're still around!

Love the 45 SWB- it's about the only ride out there that would get me to sell my 40!

New to the forum, and a 'new' owner of a 100-series!
Bought this 2001 about 1 month ago, with only 80k miles...it's in great shape.
It has some electronic goodies from the PO: headrest video screens, Sirius add, and even a power inverter.
It also has some awesome rhino liner on the bumpers, doors and hood. I wasn't sure about the "look" at first, but my wife loves it! Won't need to worry about any trail rash :)
This will be my daily driver, but I also plan on doing a little trailing but mostly light-duty off-roading.
I would love some more info on where/when the group meets - is that posted somewhere?
Thanks - glad to join the group!

Welcome! Where do ya live? Plenty of light duty places to get dirty with minimal risk in north ga.

I'm in Alpharetta. Looking forward to meeting others in the group and maybe doing some weekend day trips. It will be good to learn some local geography.

I live just west of Alpharetta. PM me with your info and we can meet up and compare trucks, I can give you maps, suggestions, etc. You know The Union Restaurant?

Great looking rig! What's that up on the headliner, is that the sat radio?

Monthly meetings are first Tuesday of every month, at Ippolito's Restaurant in Norcross (on SR141.) www.gacruisers.com has basic info, but the schedule is out of date.

What you're calling "light-duty offorading" is likely what I call "exploring", which is riding the roughest, most poorly maintained Forest Service roads and backwoods roads I can find. I have a pretty stock (worn-out 190k miles "stock" is better description) so no rock-crawling for me yet. I'm hoping to do another one of these types of trips soon, got my eye on a few roads, PM me with contact info if you want to consider.

I'm in Johns Creek... Will keep an eye out for you... Nice hundy!

Happy happy happy

I have been spending time thinking through what type of mods I would like to have on the truck, and create a plan to move ahead. Since today was rainy, I had time to pull the "new" to me 100 into the garage and crawl around underneath to see what I have. The rhino liner on the bottom half of the truck looks like it was professionally applied, and is about 3X the thickness of a quarter. The other discovery is the nearly new OME suspension parts on the front...almost as good as Christmas! One mod to check off the list, and it cost $0!

Bought this 1987 FJ60 off CL a couple weeks ago. Its in pretty great, all-original shape, 145k miles. I am working on the drive train, installing an OME kit and desmogging the engine. Just did a tune-up and a detailed cleaning. Pinstripe removal tool will be used on the ghastly dealer-added pinstripes, and I also plan to get rid of the dealer added door strips and the snake blinders. I'm located in Cumming area.

See you on the road/trail.
