Looks good Charles, did ya sell the 4runner yet?

I have several potential buyers exchanging emails but no firm committment yet. I haven't pushed it very hard because of the holidays but I will try a little harder now.
Hopefully it will go to a good home shortly.
Thanks....

Updated.

See ya Saturday.

New owner in Atlanta!

New to the forum, and a 'new' owner of an FZJ80!
Hoping to get it in good working order to take the kids camping, doing a little trailing, but mostly light-duty off-roading.
I've literally wanted one of these for as long as they've been out, and could finally afford to get one.
I wasn't aware of the club, but would love some more info on where/when - is that posted somewhere?
Thanks - glad to join the group!

Welcome aboard!!! :flipoff2:

Nice choice of Land Cruiser, 80's are awesome! If you arent too far from Norcross, you should come to our meeting on Tuesday night at Ippolitos...

So it's only taken me 2 years of living in Atlanta to finally get off my backside and post-up here... But I routinely lurk on the 40 Series board and used to lurk on the 100 series board.

Have met up with UZJ100 for beers and been meaning to get more involved with the GA chapter. Have also met the guys at ACC Toyota and they've done some work to my FJ40 and my old 100 series.

Anyway, here's my former & current LandCruiser background...

1985 FJ60:
- bought in mint condition @ 30K miles in ~1998
- stock except except larger tires & borla exhaust
- used as a daily driver...was my intro into off-roading w/ LandCruisers
- still kicking myself for selling it with 50K miles in ~2000
- no photo...will try and find one

1979 FJ40:
- bought as a trail & camping truck w/129K
- ended-up turning into a full-blown body-replacement restoration; link to restoration here = https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/146809-lake-normans-79-fj40-rebuild.html
- fair amount of off-road build up (i.e., BDS lift, 33x12.5 GoodYear MTRs, sliders, rear MAF tire carrier & rack, NOS Conferr full-length roof rack, Aqualu full tub/tailgate/storage, Rhinolined interior, forward facing rear seat, Paki metal 1/2 doors, family roll-bar, 6 auxiliary lights, de-smogged)
- used on weekends for camping, surf fishing, and expedition trips; mileage unknown (am guessing ~150K miles on original drivetrain, transmission and chassis at this point)
- still own it...no plans to sell it...EVER

1999 LX470:
- bought in mint condition w/ 60K miles in 2010
- mild, partial build-up (i.e., ARB, running board delete, BFG ATs, ARB + homebrew roof rack, rear storage shelf, roof top tent)
- used as daily driver and for camping and OBX beach trips
- sold in 2012 w/ 112K miles (another selling mistake...should have kept this truck too)

Hope to meet up with you guys at an upcoming meeting here in Atlanta!

Oh yeah. The Tundra is mine. This is the wifey's primary transportation. We got rid of the Camry she was driving. I love it though. I'm tempted to buy myself one just like it.

Well Im officially obsessed. I picked up this '87 SR5 22re over the weekend. One owner with just under 200k. The body is in great shape but it has the usual 26 year old truck laundry list of small things to fix. Hopefully this thing will become my dd and I can build the'81 into less of a street queen.

I'm looking for a rear bench seat if anyone has one laying around. Also, do you guys know if it is possible to swap in seat belts with a shoulder harness (like the front seats) in the back? It has just the lap style but I need something safer for the kids.

Don't get me wrong Zack, I know you love it, use it and need it. I didn't say to get rid of it, just hoping you had a way to remove it for the week so you could put it back on afterwards. If you leave it on and let the woods remove it for you, its probly not gonna go back on as easily as if you do it yourself beforehand. :)
