I think you can leave the driver a note for your deliveries through the UPS app with special instructions. May not help this time but maybe next...
I have a usual driver that would pop into the shop. He’s legit. Must be off today.

Scott, the new owner swung by here on the way to a hunt in North Mississippi.

Super happy to get to show off Weenie3 a bit.

I got the box right after he left. Got the oil pan installed.

I think I have enough stuff now to stay busy for the next couple of days.

Filled up the oil and I don’t see any leaks so I went ahead and stabbed the 4 speed with split case. This is out of the Saudi 82 fj45. It’s like a 60 setup but with a Tcase mounted ebrake.
IMG_5333.webp

I filled them up with 90wt and then realized all of my parking brake drums are 10 spline. Now all of the Tcase fluid is draining back out the tailshaft 🤓🤓🤓

Installed the exhaust back. Beautiful exhaust. Tight. Lots of hammering but it’s back in.

Ordered a new drum from Georg and measured up for new Tom Woods shafts.

Added a new OEM fuel filter and Denso oil filter. I’m about to head to PowderKeg to pick up a couple parts.

Productive morning. Got the SOR gasket and the insulation on the tranny hump.

Then I chopped up the hump a bit for the 4 speed transmission and got it in and the interior built back out.

Small things. Powdered plate holder.

I think Ben pulled these doors off. When you reinstall the SMG pins you have to loctite the lower pieces of they vibrate off. All 4 were MIA

Got the reverse lights hooked up with a little trial and error

Speedway sells a 5’ stainless line that allows you to easily move the slave to the passenger side. Is in. Bled.
IMG_5379.webp

Added the T Case shifter and got the OEM floor mat reinstalled. Ordered a set of Lloyd mats to help protect this original mat. Make it easier to keep clean and add another layer for heat.

Forgot to order the long emblem and gasket but while I was putting the lower emblem in I went ahead and cut that old one out and added a used one. C Outfit will have me one by Wednesday.

New front emblem.

New instructions.

All of the parts came in for me to rebuild the doors and gaskets. This job blows but here I go.

Look at that OEM vapor barrier still in tact. Thats a first for me on early doors.
IMG_5386.webp

The handles were both pretty clapped out so they are getting replaced
IMG_5387.webp

These doors are 100% rust free. Very nice units.
IMG_5389.webp

I got one side scraped out and ready for new runs tomorrow.

CCOT aftermarket. Not bad. Some are really loose.

Toyota still sell the passenger side because it’s the same as the ambulance door handle.
Never thought about that, but it sure is the same part! I learned something today.

Was super stoked that the Colombian soft top arrived. Very well packed. Very high quality.

IMG_5440.webp

One problem. This one is for 75 and up with Ambulance doors 🤦

A few emails with the gentleman in Colombia and it looks like the only difference is the rear window. The frame is the same. I’m very impressed with the parts.

This is the style we need. I have the bows and such being powdercoated green while I’m gone next week.

Nolan, Saw this on your IG post. Can you share the source for the insulation on the transmission tunnel? I didn't know there was a "correct" gasket for the hump. Funny it's "Pit Bull Approved" there must be a story behind that.

This task is up after I swap my engine. I was looking at the CR channel liner but haven't determined a source for the inside and outside window sills.

Cruiser Outfitters had some. CR has some.

I prefer OEM outer weather strip. They list it for early to 72 or some crap but it works for 73/74
