One thing was it had a leak in the front brake line that did not drip unless you used the brakes.

Seems the 30 kilometers they drove it to and from the top place has it all gone. I saw the empty cylinder and figured out the issue.
I had to make that right and a couple of other things before I took it for a spin.

But first…..I noticed the guage was showing full. I thought I remembered I had only put 4 gallons in for startup and my short test drive

I thought I remembered the guage working the I added the new cluster so I figured he filled it up.

I made it about 4 miles and ran it out of gas. Has to ride the strap home behind a Jeep

Looking great in her out of gas stage

Added 5 gallons and hit the road again

I enjoyed that “ Dukes of Hazard” railway jump…. (By the way… you missed the STOP sign) 😇

Gonna have to ask nolen to take that video down when it comes time to sell. Kind of ruins the old lady driven slowly to church on Sunday’s vibe!!
You need to bring the whole family down, load 'em in the Troop carrier and redo this jump.

Would that be a trebuchet or a catapult?

Awesome job done, enjoying following along!
Does this set of rear jump seats come from a 70-Series Troopy?

They are just 1/2 of the ones that came with it. We cut the long back piece in 1/2

Lots of small things going on. It’s too cold to drive it.

The oil drain plug was leaking so I had to drain the 20/50 and I reinstalled a new OEM plug and gasket. Added a little Locktite 567 to the threads. Refilled with the same oil. It only had
About 40 miles on it. No crap came out. It was nice and clean.

I had to rebleed the brakes because of the leak fix I did Monday.

I also added a passenger side tire carrier so the early style 1/2 door will open without having to swing out the spare. The tag bracket is at PowderKeg

Added a set of SMG stainless door pins
IMG_4828.webp

Added a cool console/cupholder I got via Holley … bought myself 3 of these for all my bench seat trucks.

Carved up a City Racer floor mat to fit the new seat setup

Check this out, it actually works:

The OP of my rig made the oil plug gasket out of pure lead sheet. That baby has lasted for years and has never leaked. Take an big, old non food spoon, melt some muzzle bullets in it with propane torch, pour on to some newspaper. You should get a nice disk about 1/8 thick. Tap your drain bolt on it to mark the circle. Use utility knife to cut the circle - magic washer/gasket. Sheet lead will work too if you have any.
