Anyone with experience with a 40 series AC.

Where is this relay located on the truck? Jason suggested this relay may be bad but I don’t see it.

Why would the relay be bad? Relays literally never go bad. Especially Denso relays. They are solid state units. Unless shït is fubarred upstream—. Which very well could be the issue.
Tossing rocks brother.

Since I am good at dumb questions, have you actually located the section of wiring that it plugs into, as we both know…previous owners have worked magic with screwdrivers and dykes

ADDED EDIT: diagonal cutters (dykes). who knows, maybe it’s an east coast term….?

Short of pulling the AC harness completely out I’ve traced all of the wires I can see yes.

As I said earlier, there was a toggle switch there I’m sure now was being used to signal the AC clutch.

I can’t find this dang relay.

Are you saying you need one of these relays? I think they're still available. If they aren't, I may have one in my parts bin I can send you. Would have to look this weekend.
No, I’m saying I could not find it visually so I went back and looked at pictures I saved when the unit was out and there it is.

I’m traveling but when I get home I’ll see if I can fish it out

Also known as “alternative lifestyle pliers”.

Found it. Now to see if I can access it without pulling the unit out and losing my charge.

Just feel/listen for it’s clicking before you do anything. Those relays are loud

In Germany there was this pair of ladies, I always knew them as Frankie and Jonie. Once out in the motor pool I saw one of them lift a M151 front end of the jeep off the ground, way more than I could do. We also had this guy Willie the Wall, I saw him put a full 55 gallon drum of diesel up on the generator trailer by himself; yea again way more than I could do.

Sooooo

Ear to the box and turn the controller on?

I’m pretty deaf.

Would the relay click if the engine was not running?

It may have a pressure switch that works in conjunction with the power relay , like a 1, 2, pressure switch goes on then power relay is hot. just a thought. You said unit is charged so it has pressure but if there is a pressure switch is it working ?

Thanks Nolen!!! It's been quite the exciting process buying a truck in saudi, dealing with all the issues, materials, shipping, etc. Happy to have it finally home, just in time to sit and hide in the garage for ~4 months until spring comes!

Now that we have the Troopy, I did some rough calculations and with 8 proper seats and only four kids, we can expand the family by another two members and still have room for everyone. The winters are long up here....
