- green tip one twards rear of the engine feed signal to the cluster meter TEMP. gauge


- red tip one behind carb is a Emissions THERMO Sensor that feeds a unique signal to the emissions / smog computer , this is a California Spec. options package details thingy topic .....

now we know what proper during-engine-build " Site-Protection " is all about , because any small foregion matter thing or

stuff could fall into the 2F rear breather hose port hole if left un-capped using anything u got to do just that ....



rubber bands , seran-wrap and small plastic baggies work well to , as you so fondly pointed out on my Girl the GHOST's full floating rear axle housing outer hub tubes 🤣

I may possibly be missing out. Being in business the easier you make it for your customers see your products the better. Me I believe I went to school with Mark's AKA @65swb55 Chinese cousin Lo Tec. Change is not only not hard but not that big on any social media platform. Mud is my exception but only tech not chat. Besides Matt you know if I need any of your great products I'll contact your direct. Would give you a smile face and thumbs up but this is the third phone the emojis don't work and still haven't figured out how to fix it. And no I'm not using a flip phone. Currently have a Pixel Pro.

The discontinued 84210-14010 switch has recently been repop'ed by the Heritage Program. It's listed as a back lamp switch on the label and even in the GR Heritage parts list, but it's not used as a back lamp switch on the 40 series Land Cruiser. Based on my research (by digging into the FSM), it's actually a transfer lever select switch, with a caveat of "magnet front drive" as opposed to direct drive. Frankly I don't know what the difference is, but looking at the pic that switch must take a lot of punishment being located on top of the transfer cover. This switch is now available as an aftermarket part through City Racer. It's indeed used as a back lamp switch on other Toyota vehicles, such as early Celica, Cressida and 2WD pickup.

Any idea if this will fit the 3-speed transfer case? :)
 
nice, last one i had to source NIB was from way overseas..
as far as the 3spd tcase, i used it on a 3spd tcase as the 4wd indicator on the dash

It's actually quite an useful part. I think the reason it died is because it's hard to find out where it's used. The parts book doesn't give a clear indication, and the misleading part description doesn't help. Unless you look for clues in the FSM, it's unlikely you'll associate this part number to the picture shown in the FSM.

Had to climb under a few Cruisers to find an example of the switch in-tact and in-use. This is on a 1979 FJ56. I've got a 'Magnet Type' loose t-case at my house in a stash too. Definitely limited production!
