Dude that is awesome....I like the gravy...wonder what the effects are on washing the clothing after you've applied the product.

Be a great way to get all the oil out of the bucket once you've changed the oil

Always wanted to bathe in gravy with my clothes on but didnt want the clean up...problem solved!

Seriously, I want to paint my perfectly clean truck with this and laugh.

Looks like I might be a built 40 owner soon :)

Looking at it this weekend. May close next weekend.

That's a solid truck. You just have to get used to the backwards trans.

Easy :)

Drum Brakes

I've got my Stout back on the road, can get it up to 65 or so, and I am presently redoing the interior and cooling system.

My question is about drum brakes. I have bled the brakes and now have a stiff pedal (insert joke here). No problem stopping, although the performance is under whelming. No horrible sounds or leaking pistons. Hand brake holds a hill. However, when I let loose the handbrake on a hill, I have real trouble stopping it with the brakes when rolling backwards.

Thoughts?

Good to hear it's back on the road David, do the drums have new shoes on them? Also you can adjust the drums so they may need to be tightened.

I haven't pulled the drums yet - - who knows what evil lurks there.

It does not have a booster.

I can get new shoes for it from California, but not drums.....

Yeah it's a toss up, you could simply tighten them, drive it around and see if it stops any better. Or go ahead and pull the drums and see if there's anything left of the shoes. Take the drums and see if they need to be turned, if they say they are too out of whack to turn and you should get new ones I would probably just put new shoes on and run with it. Maybe see if a LC drum is compatible with the stout.

I plan on cracking into the drums as soon as the other little projects are done. I was able to source a NEW exhaust manifold gasket and a flange gasket and consider myself lucky!!!

Maybe I should just order the shoes now? My guy in California also says he has a replacement master cylinder, but mine has no leaks that I can find. I did replace the master cyclinder for the clutch (myself), and that works like a charm.
