Wish i could afford some range time.

This was all surplus ammo. I didn't take a picture of me sorting through a bucket of ammo. This one bucket had three types of 308, besides all the 12, 22, 30-30, 223, 44, and who knows what else.

This session cost me 4 paper plates and 8 staples, a little ink, and whatever value you want to put on the old ammo. The range was my back yard.

I don't like to shoot much in my back pasture. Even though the neighbors don't mind I don't want to turn the area into a full time range - but putting a little lead down range is good practice.

Tippy, have you thought about wiring the ones in the back for reverse lights an running a separate switch to use them without the reverse lights?

Thought about it. I don't want to accidentally have them come on with my reverse lights (if I forget to cut that switch off) and blind some poor lady in a parking lot.

And I might have made you proud this morning. I sent 223 lead downrange from the bathroom window scaring away a predator that is not welcome in my pasture near the chickens. The smell of burnt gun powder in the morning while minimally clothed is awesome. :grinpimp:

Well came across another snake this morning in the door of my shed...problem is I couldn't identify it so it became a dead one....it was about 2' long, hard to tell whether it had a diamond shaped head or oval...couldn't see fangs but with young snakes its hard to see anyhow...my thoughts are either a rat snake(which I would feel bad) or a rattlesnake, but too young to shed so no rattles. I hate having to kill a snake when I can't determine it, but with two munchkins running around I'm not willing to take that chance.

Pretty sure that's a rat snake man. The pattern and colors are consistent to one that use to be around my old place.

Yeah I just looked it up on the computer and looks like a rat snake...dang, it didn't help that it greeted me as I opened the door to my shed. Oh well, live and learn.

Ugh i hate snakes

Gabe, you got an emailin virus.... Or else you are practicing writing harlequin romance novels..

lol must be a virus!

Reminds me of my home town (Youngstown, OH). They had a bust like this every week in my old neighborhood and resorted to painting the houses which were abandoned and used for drugs a bright pink color to ward off people and let the cops patrol easier.

Glad it didn't blow, looks like some serious gear.
