We used to use it to clean ABS valves and stuff when I worked at Bosch. Was really cool. Don't remember brand or anything.

Yeah but what kind of driver do they use? Which type of piezo's?

Anyway I've contacted my guy in China and seeing what I can get on the next shipment. Need something big enough to put a carb in. Couple gallons at least and 5 gallons would be really nice. I'm going to be rebuilding carbs and throttle bodies as another service for the southeast and need something easy and does a good job of cleaning things. Ultrasonic is the only way to go.

found ya one... Branson Benchmark 5-Stage Ultrasonic Cleaning Cleaner | eBay

Branson makes ALOT of ultrasonic stuff, they are big into ultrasonic welders and cleaners.

Kidding of course. You might want to search used industrial equipment dealers. I'll keep my eyes out for ya. Search tempest turned up a couple but the larger ones were $$$$

Already have a bead blaster. I don't want to wait over night. Just want to soak 30 min and be ready to put it back together. Best thing is it doesn't ruin the finish and it will clean all those tiny ports that are very hard to reach.

I used to soak every carb i rebuilt. I don't think i've soaked one in over a year....about 95% of my work is carb work and i've done some 2000+ pieces of equipment this year. I use a thin wire to get to all those small passeges to make sure it's clean. Maybe once ever few months will i have one that acually has a clogg that i have to work at to get it out . I also do small engine carbs so those are not quite as elaborate as yours.

The finish is ruined on every carb i do. My customers don't care as they are going on lawn/small engine equipment. Fashion <function

Charles on the other hand (the guy next to me that does pretty much 100% carbs) does soak all of his but he is old school and being semi retired has nothing but time on his hands. Greg Porter doesn't mind having to throw a splash of clear on the carbs he gets from charles to put on his show hot rods.

I'll second with the wire...also comp. air...I wire and blow out every port I can find, then use starting fluid (I love that stuff) to make sure they flow.

Not that soaking it will do the trick but your also putting them back on the motor and running them. While I'll test them if I don't get it just right I'm forking out shipping to return it and then shipping it back. Best to just do it right the first time.

just picked up rebuild kit for front axle!!! Gonna be a busy 1st quarter!!!

Hey gimpey when are you planning on doing your rebuild? I'm planning on doing one some time here in the next year, just for precaution. If you'd like I could come try and give you a hand, not that I have any experience doing it my self but I would like atleast see someone do it before I attempt it myself.

i have never done one either. Dohcdelsol is going to help me with mine as well at a later date. He is actually doing them in his shop if you prefer to pay someone. He should have a thread listed that he is doing them this winter while business is slow. Otherwise we could wait and do a hamom style weekend together as long as he can attend. As long as the beer floweth he is pretty good at lending a hand!!

That being said i would not touch it if it is not leaking!!!

Most of the carbs charlie does are off the vehicle. With soaking and blasting he has no issues but with 50 plus years doing it he could do it blind folded

Finished installing the new shelving in the shed. All that wood in the bottom right of the shed is heart wood pine i got from a tobacco barn. When you cut it it smells like tobacco. Got rid of all the mice. Installed a blower in the fireplace and ran power to it. And finished restoring a choke cable for a customer. I'm starting the move this week from the warehouse to the house.

i will see if i can figure out a day this week to come get that hood out of your warehouse and if u have any left some piping for sliders. Not gonna get the awning i think. Came up with a better solution for working on the dent it looks like.
