All the body parts with the exception of the hard top sides and doors are now at paint. Will be putting harness in this week and other dash pieces don't want to put too much back until I install the upper body side door hinge plates which are being painted. Fuel injection is ordered. Front seats and jump seats are reupholstered and ready to go in will snap a few pics. I went over the main harness inch by inch soldering a few questionable areas then rewrapped so its ready to go in as well.

I havent updated this in while been super busy with a couple of road trips drove my 40 up to Montana and went to the Grand Canyon last week to hike rim to rim. Parts have been trickling in VERY slowly so progress has been slow. Here are some updates.

Heater Restore

Before reinstalling heater, I had metal parts powder coated gray, picked up heater restore kit from Metric TLC and replaced all foam components. Below are some of the pictures during restore.

steering column housing powder coated and shaft narrowed 30mm for the p/s gear box.
I cut 30mm from the shaft, took a steel sleeve and drilled two holes on either end and one large hole in center. put a 45 degree edge on both ends of the shaft and butted the two ends together. slid the sleeve over for allignment and tack welded through the large hole in center of sleeve. slid sleeve back welded the two shafts together making it perfectly smooth again (filling the v channel that was formed from the two 45 full circumference) then slid the channel back over the two halves and plug welded the five holes and welded both ends. here is the finished product. I'll try to post a few pics of the in between steps but dont have them on my phone.

So when can I drop Lexie off at your place Roma?

You're wasted working at Honda.

If you ever opened your own shop, you'd have more work than you knew what to do with.

yeah im sure it would take the fun out of it though as well. Im actually not turning wrenches anymore still at the same honda/acura dealer but working as a service advisor now. I actually look forward to working on my own stuff (and Tucker's truck) after i get off work every day.
