I would reinforce the rear spring hangers, but that's just me and my mangleage :rolleyes:
 
Pulled the head and found this.

Sent the head to the cylinder head shop for a deck magnaflux and valve job. Back on with toyota head gasket.

To the uninitiated, what is the "this" you saw when you looked at the head?

Also, how much did they charge for the head work so I understand ballpark prices.
 
Had very little time this evening but the frame is off the ground finally! Getting the shock hardware replated before the shocks go on. Also need to trim the ubolts a bit and install the bump stops. New tie rod ends need to be installed and anxiously awaiting a fj40 factory power steering gear box to arrive. Will most likely open the axles back up and drop in 3.70 third members next week.
