Also picked up a couple arbor plates...rebuilding my junkyard OTC press hydraulics this weekend.

Which arbor plates did you go with?

Those things are pricey. But my HF ones have broken.

A man cannot have too many gigantic pry bars.

I have a habit of wading through Amazon and finding listings where the prices are super cheap as a result of their computerized pricing algorithm. This 48" Williams pry bar lists for 210 but can be had for ~130 shipped. Amazon listing was for $35 shipped.

Care to explain a little more, or give us the link to that thing?

You want my secrets or the listing? WTH, I'll give you both...

Here is the Amazon listing for the pry bar I referenced above - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0155AC1IS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It's no longer available at the price I mentioned, which is expected based on their computer pricing gadgetry. There are listings from 3rd party sellers but not at a 'I'll buy that s*** regardless of if I need it price'.

As far as my method...I'm sure there are folks out there that know more and do it differently but here is my approach. I enter a search term (let's say 'Williams tools') and then filter the results to only include those which are 'Prime'. This should include every applicable item that Amazon is the first party seller for...but may include those of which Amazon fulfills for other sellers under the Prime service. I then append the text "&pct-off=70-" to the end of the URL which does some magic filtering of the results to show only those that are 70% or greater off some secret Amazon 'list' price (you can replace '70' with whatever percent you so choose and the results are based on that number). Amazon used to have a radio button filtering option to choose your percent off but it's gone now and when it was there you had to be within a 'department' to even see it. Be aware the results you will see do include 'sponsored' items and also some that don't reconcile to be 70% or more off retail. I have zero idea why this is the case.

What you will from time to time find are random insane deal listings where the total inventory available is usually 1-2 items. You can add the item to your cart and over the course of a few days, you can see it continue to decrease in cost (sometimes multiple times a day). This is the great Amazon's pricing algorithm working for whatever reason it was programmed for. It appears that when an item gets to the 1-2 left stage and is not purchased then the price continues to drop until someone purchases the item or the algorithm resets, bottom out's, whatever. All I know is what I see when checking on the sometimes hundreds of items I have in the 'saved for later' section of my cart.

Here is another example - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JB6XV3C/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER It's a Williams sledge hammer SH-12A that I've watched drop 10 bucs in the past week. Once someone buys it, the price will jump back to a typical retail amount (i.e. Zoro advertises it for $70.78 plus tax and shipping).

You had me at "secrets" - expecting you to use it like a Samurai or something. Then you just went into search stuff. I feel you owe us a picture of putting it to use, as well, now.

After reading Jon's first post regarding "playing" the alogorithm to find deals, I found several Apps that appear to do something similar. Camelcamelcamel and Keepa are two. Never tried them though.

CamelX3 is good but for the pry bar and other crazy deals, they usually show no history when entered. No idea why as I see them dropping in price while saved in my cart.

I saw this somewhere in 80's Tech and thought it looked perfect for people like me who's luck makes them need to have handy every possible extraction device/method known to man. AKA 'last thing I'm trying before buying a bigger breaker bar and a team of oxen...or a welder'.

Thanks to @surg0107 for the pic.

Love this gantry crane. Don't know how we would have unloaded this otherwise. Love my new tool boxes also :D

That is a serious crane! Safety yellow where appropriate too!

Edit: are those snapon boxes??

Yellow makes a huge difference in visibility when backing up. Super happy I thought to do that.

Not snapon boxes :grinpimp:
