On another note I sliced my hand open at the shop yesterday. 5 stitches. At least I can still feel my fingers. View attachment 1416301


Hurts like hell. Which is why I'm up. Was getting ready for a photo shoot for a magazine.

I feel your pain. Last year I was working on the 40 and forgot it was in gear when I hit the ignition and I had one foot inside and one foot on the ground. When It lurched backwards my hand grazed the door latch and I opened up the palm down to the knuckle. I now know what a nerve looks like. Your sutures look terrific, mine were done my a PA and I doubt if she did much in the way of sutures.

Once it was healed I had surgery on the right thumb and was out for six to eight weeks.

Hope you heal quickly.

What thread has the knock on spelling in SC? This ties in as the above pic spells German Shepherd wrong TWICE and never gets it right in 5 tries. Somehow they got Belgian Malinois correct. WTF?

The one in which a famous NC city is mistaken for a city in Alabama or a village in Ohio.........

For those of you with a scorecard...yes, I stopped my self imposed Quadrophenia exile today. Too early, perhaps. Resisting all urges to command the M&G playlist with "Ride the Lightning" or "Master of Puppets". Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I am trying to get a handle on all these new base level mustangs and camaros. They are overtaking the prius as the slowest car on the road. It's like high school where everyone is out cruising. These were cars people had in high school in NC. What is the appeal? Do these people actually admit to owning one of these vehicles? I know I am not the target market but these things are everywhere in Cary, NC. The office park I work in seems to get a base version of one or the other week. They are not fast, they are not built well, and depreciate like rocks. Help me understand. A base mustang or camaro would not make my top 50 new cars to purchase.

When I first got out of the Army I worked at Carmax and both of those cars sold like crazy they were always in for service. The buyers all seemed to be middle aged women trying to be cool again. Not only did they buy a base model but they would highlight the tackiness with Tweety Bird seat covers and the like.

That was most disappointing......I cannot begin to quantify my dislike for Duke Basketball! And the absurd thing is that I attended Dukes summer basketball camp in 1980, the first year that coach K was there. Met Mike Giminski, Jim Spanarkel, Gene Banks.....I think the cockiness of subsequent teams must have hardened my heart against them over the years. This may require some additional introspection......or not!

I can not comment. Coach k needs to retire. He constantly berates the refs and it changes the entire game. Been doing it for years. He needs to retire. He is a dinosaur. Please go away. NCAA tourney should be interesting.

I am right there with you. I do not watch any sports at all. I used to watch racing but that just got so politically correct it was sad. If I heard one more driver say "we" when referring to himself driving the car ....

I only watch when I actually go to the games, which I only do (when getting free tix) to annoy my friends who are super fans and don't get tickets. "You don't even LIKE that sport!" Ya know, cause I'm a jerk.
