“How tall was the man who assaulted you?”

“Around 1.8288 Meters, I’d say.”

😂

Let's not forget the obvious reason for the Metric system is to walk around saying they are packing 150mm+

Glad to see new owner has a plasma & welder.

Bacon bits is a rig that needs that “flavor” owner(s).

Where did you get that BIG sticker?!?
I think I found it on Etsy, if you google the lyrics and "sticker" it should pop up.
What is the expanded metal portion of the license plate for? It looks like you are running it as the legit plate?
It has been removed and new plates are on.

Not sure if you're a fool or a genius for taking on someone else's aborted fetus of a rig!

Can't decide if this thing is cool or just a hot mess 😂😂
Its definitely both.

Been doing a lot of cutting, grinding, welding, repeat for a while now. Mostly working on getting the cabin all sealed up. Starting from the floor I framed the lower section first.

More welding and grinding. Temporarily threw in a sound bar for now. More than likely will remount on the upper portion of the roof later. Really decent sound quality for the overall size.

Added sound and heat insulation on the backside and will probably do the inside as well after I'm done sealing it all up.

Had a longtime customer stop by to get some suspension work done. The resemblances are uncanny 😆

Made some awning mounts to the bed rack so I can simply throw it on when going on a trip. I used a control arm bushing and sway bar mounts to simply install and remove using just 2 bolts.

Finally got out last weekend to Joshua Tree for 3 days and 2 nights. First time this rigs seen dirt since I got the keys. I am definitely no where near done and have plenty of work to do. The interior is literally just 2 seats with no dash. I have holes, uh I mean vents, everywhere around the cab that needs to be welded and sealed. But I couldn't wait and was too anxious to take Bacon out for a shakedown trip. I have to say my first impressions when comparing to my other 80 was rather interesting. I know both trucks are pretty much identical in every way down to the chassis / powertrain, however it felt different. Best way to describe it was that it was nimble. Not a word that is usually used to describe our rigs. Both my 80's have very similar suspension modifications and 37's. However my '96 has very heavy armor, full interior, sound system, tons of insulation, full roof rack, etc. The difference in weight gives a totally different feel on hwy speeds and trails. I am not sure the exact numbers but I believe with the quick calculations I made its almost 2000lbs. I was cruising at 80-90mph on the hwy while sitting at 2300-2800rpm [gears not installed yet]. Typically my '96 will constantly shift down to 3rd and my right leg will go numb from mashing the skinny pedal. This was definitely a pleasant surprise. With all my gear loaded with 2 bodies in the truck it averaged 15 mpgs mixed cty/hwy. Alignment was spot on and felt no vibrations except a nice growl on high speed deceleration which I believe maybe solved with a little more juice inside my rear driveshaft. Anyways time for the photo dump.
