Flexed out climbing to the camp site. No sway bars for now. Planning on installing front and rear Anti-Rock bars in the near future.

In 2 weeks I got a camping trip scheduled and I would like to take Bacon Bits instead of my other 80. Only issue is I need A/C if I plan on taking the piggy. Let's see how much I can knock out in these 100+ degrees days.

Removed the radiator support and plan on making a new one that sits a few inches back to accommodate the AC condenser and lines.
Degreased the front and started disassembly. Seals and gaskets were all dried and cracked.

Of course one head had to strip. Welded a bolt on and came out easy enough. Installed New Water pump, Thermostat, Crank seal, Distributor O-Ring and Mean Green Alternator.

looking good man, did you end up needing to buy a new HB or did you clean your old one up?
Thanks, what's an HB? Hub Bearing or Hover Board??

Didn't replace. Only 160k on the rig. Inspected the rubber, cleaned and repainted. No funny vibes

Is that the OEM alternator?

Yes and no, OEM size but rated at 120amps. I have heard mix reviews on these so I am keeping the OEM one in the truck as a trail spare.

More progress on radiator support and mounts. Went with Mishimoto's high flow 12" dual fans.

Used the old radiator's bracket mounts and set it back about 2 inches to make room for the AC condenser since it has a shorter front end compared to a regular 80.

i was hoping you were building a shroud for the fans. i have never had good luck long term for mounting fans directly to the rad with them zip tie things

Oh that is what I am planing to do near future. I have a trip coming up this Friday so I am trying to knock out whatever I can to get her ready for now. I doubt those zips will last a year or so. But I must say these fans run very high cfm. So far only one has been coming on and keeping temps under control. Maybe a little too good. The temp needle is just shy of middle with 100+ degree temps. I will see how it does when I get the AC running in the next days.

Radiator/Condensor/Oil Cooler all mounted up. Tight fit but worked well. I tried to make sure that every bolt is easy to get to. If I ever needed to do a trail repair I could do so effortlessly. I could say I have taken it apart 2 dozen times or so during test fitments. Probably takes 10 minutes or less to remove everything from the grill, headlights, complete cooling system until I see the block.

The AC drier was moved from the bottom to the top in front of the battery. I was able to get a line made at a local hose and fittings specialist. Charged it up just under 2lbs and it's blowing ice cold!! AC is a must here in SoCal so this was an amazing upgrade to check off my list.

Replaced the original acceleration cable that kept getting stuck on various rpms at idle for a new one. Also added a safety hood latch to the top radiator support bar just in case. I like cruising at 80+ on long streches of hwy and don't need a oh sh*t moment.
