While you guys were out wheeling and meeting I continued to try to remedy the green door issue. :D

I have been working on them for a while. I got the cheap CCOT kit to replace all the rubber and stuff. I hope to have them in by the ACC Invitational. That would be nice.
I just used Rustoluem to shoot them because I am pretty sure that is what the whole truck was done in. It matches very well out of the spray can so great to fix the odd scratch and ding. After doing some reading on the net, I cut it one to one with acetone. Covered well and I think it will dry quickly. I am certain it will take a while to get really hard though. I am considering recoating it all tomorrow morning.

Hey guys, I ordered one of these on Amazon for $18. Seems to fit the bill and does some other stuff that makes it easier to air up.

Amazon.com: EZ - Air Tire Gauge: Automotive
After using this over the weekend I found it was WAY too slow to use to air down. Slower than doing it by just poking in the valve. Looks like I am putting the ARB on my Christmas list.

It did make it easier to air-up however.

...

Chris,
Have you looked at the Currie tire deflator? It removes the valve core and holds it in the tool while you deflate for fast deflation. When ready, the valve core is in the tool for re-insertion. I picked one up last year and found it to be handy. If you want to try it out some time, give me a shout.

I have a similar device....works well.

I saw the Currie on Amazon. It appears to be the same design as the ARB and is $10 less. You guys are satisfied with it then? Anything to save a couple dollars.

Absolutely not the same design. Look again at what attaches to the valve stem, rather than the pressure gauges. I think it will really come down to having it in your hand with an opportunity to use it. Even the instructions from Currie don't explain it well to understand how it operates.

the currie unit and the arb unit are basically the same (not related to the picture at post 424 above).

I have the currie unit as picutured in post 427 and it works well. I've used mine without issuse for some time.

Thanks for the correction. I mis-understood.

what does the ARB one look like?
Pretty much the same. Actually, they look identical.

I did, and I got to use RSHARP's. I had seen them used before but never used one myself until we were airing down and I was screwing around with that other thing I bought and he had done his truck and two tires on mine in the time I did one.
