do you have the little cover for the wiper stop switch ?

I am trying to make a replacement . . .
not the correct one. I guess there us one that attaches with two screws at the top and one that attaches another way. I have the former and need the later :meh:

They are supposed to... :)
I knew they were but I had never seen one that did!

Was going to go wheeling sunday with GA Cruisers but the weather looks like it is going to preclude it. I think sunday will be Christmas.

I ran into another issue last night. Seems that the hood is a full 5/16 longer on one side than the other. It was very rough when I got it. When I restored it, I never thought to measure it to ensure it was right since it appeared straight and the curves and angles all matched.
The front passenger corner was badly mangled and I guess it was pushed out too far.
Soooo, that means tearing up that corner of the hood. I was finally able to get the fenders and bib pretty straight. I fear trying to make up that 5/16 in the panels will make the front look really crooked.
I guess I will start work on the hard doors at the same time so I can get them colored the same time as the hood re-spray.

I am also considering dropping coin on some Procar 90 1300 seats. It will cost about $ 800 to outfit the truck but they are much lower than the Ford seats I had planned in using so that might help alleviate the steering column issue with much less work. (Plus I won't have to get them recovered.)
The struggle continues.

That looks nice. Do they attach to the fender too? Do you reckon they'd make a decent slider or are they more for bumps and stepping on?

They do not attach to the fender. They offer minimal protection. I would not put them up against some stuff that I banged the Mule across but they offer significantly more protection than stock running boards..
They wrap under the sill and require drilling of 6 3/8 holes each side. They are stoudt but force would still transfer to the body if you gave them a good whack. When this truck starts seeing real trails I will add 2x4 sliders below them.

Sounds like a good plan. Could one drill and tap the bar closest to the fender to bolt the fender on for support or is it not close enough? I do like those nonetheless. Mine is an 84 so exhaust runs down the outside of the frame rail making proper skids harder to fit. That's why I thought yours seemed like a good option for some protection. Did you get them at cruiser corps?

Got them direct from Dave at 4+ (lcwizard). They are not designed to attach and there is about a 3/4" gap between the fender and the running board. I am sure you could figure something out.
