Update...
As it happens, I am told that the government restrictions on certain chemicals has effected the paint world. The urethane paint used on the truck is no longer available. This has caused considerable problems.
First - the mixing of the new paint to match has been pretty difficult. Then, the experiment by the painter turned to eggshell resulting in me having to strip a god portion of the doors myself. I will need to repair some body work I stripped out and then re-prime what I stripped.

This is becoming the most stressful door rebuild ever. Keeping my fingers crossed that my painter will be able to make the time to color the doors again and the clear coat takes. :bang:

Ugh.. Wow . that sucks

Totally. Sold the Acorn yesterday though. Work is busy as a mofo as I try to get things tightened up before leaving. Passports came. We signed them and sent them back to get our visas. I have way more things to do than I have time for!

How is the weather? ;p 60F today. :flipoff2:

Its been -20 or worse for 3 months.. It sucks.. Been busy as s*** also.. ( less pressure than u probably) :) I am off to az tomorrow to visit the old man.. 80 degrees will feel like a dream..

it never ends does it? At least you'll know they were done right.

btw shouldn't all that stuff be in boxes??

Well that was weird.... New forum confusion I guess.
The truck is ready to be sent to its new owner. Doors are on and there are spare parts in the back.

Come and get it!

Excellent build... and excellent story... going from this (a $300.05 "bag" of parts from eBay):

This rig was flipped right at the end... In a way I am tempted to say that it is too bad that it was "flipped" (see this thread), but fact is those "flippers" are creating a sophisticated market for our rigs. So, it is too bad that the original owner was not able to get full money, but I am glad the 40 eventually went for the right price!

Crazy how much can change in a year.

There is no way I could have purchased it last Jan. But I could have a couple of months ago before I got my current dd. Which has turned out to be a serious turd.

Badass turnaround.................impressed!!

What type of unit did you use as your portable sandblaster???
