Bye Bye Bellamy. By all accounts he's another good kid gone bad at CU.
:grinpimp:

after this past week.... I now have a glimpse into what it must feel like to be a USC fan:flipoff2:

good news for Clemson this week has been a fluke, but that isn't the case for USC as this type of stuff is "business as usual" down there :hillbilly:

CLEMSON, SC -- Mike Bellamy, the second leading rusher on Clemson's 2011 ACC Championship team, will not return to Clemson for the 2012 season.

At least in the short-term, Mike Bellamy plans to continue his college career at a junior college this fall, Dabo Swinney said Tuesday.
The freshman from Nocatee, Fla. has been ruled academically ineligible for the fall semester and plans to enter a junior college this summer.

"I am proud of the improvements Mike Bellamy made in the spring semester in a number of areas," said Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney. "We gave him the opportunity to return to school in January and to grow as a player and a person and by all accounts from his teammates and coaches, he was doing well.

"But, in the end, he came up short academically. We wish him well and hope he can get back on track in the classroom and continue his football career at a junior college this fall."

Bellamy rushed 57 times for 343 yards in 2011 as a true freshman. His 6.0 average was best on the team and his 343 total rushing yards ranked second behind Andre Ellington. He also had four kickoff returns for 64 yards. He had a 75-yard touchdown run the first time he touched the ball for the Tigers in last year's season opener against Troy.

Bellamy's biggest contribution might have come in the win over Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. when he scored on a 31-yard touchdown run that clinched the Clemson victory over the nation's 10th ranked team.

A Parade All-American and USA Today All-American out of high school, Bellamy played in 12 of the 14 games last year. He was suspended for the ACC Championship game and the Orange Bowl for a violation of team rules.

Huge waste of talent, kid has shown from day one that he was self centered and immature. no loss for us we will plug someone in who wants to be part of the team.

Okay since Marshall and David want act like 3 year olds and point fingers..... guess I should do my part and point out your teams shinning achievements this off season, plenty to be proud of there fellas

USuC:

The University of South Carolina is on probation for three years after 21 athletes received approximately $51,000 in improper extra benefits and preferential treatment, according to the NCAA.

NCAA’s Division I Committee on Infractions says the university also failed to catch impermissible recruiting activity by boosters. Two boosters have split from the program after the NCAA said they gave out more than $8,000 from their foundation for recruiting inducements and extra benefits to football prospects.

According to the facts of the case, 12 student-athletes paid a daily rate less than $15 per person to a local hotel, which charged much more to the general student population. Nine other players deferred rent payments through an agreement with the hotel.

Inside Higher Education reports the NCAA accepted the Gamecocks' self-imposed restrictions. South Carolina will award three fewer football scholarships during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 years. It will also cap its official visits to 30 for football and 50 in track for it's men's and women's teams.

Tarholes:

The NCAA troubles for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill began in May 2010 with an early morning tweet from Marvin Austin, then a star football player for the Tar Heels, who wrote of a night of partying at a lavish club in South Florida. Twenty months later, the university is hoping its NCAA problems have come to an end for good.

The NCAA’s Committee on Infractions on Monday released its final verdict in a case that embarrassed the Tar Heels’ football program and tarnished the school’s academic reputation. It led to the early retirement of former athletic director Dick Baddour and the firing of football coach Butch Davis.
The committee ruled that the UNC football team must serve a one-year postseason ban in 2012, and eliminate five football scholarships per year in each of the next three academic years. The committee also increased UNC’s self-imposed probationary period from two years to three.

In its report, the committee wrote that the improprieties that took place within the Tar Heels’ football program “serve as a cautionary tale to all institutions to vigilantly monitor the activities of those student-athletes who possess the potential to be top professional prospects.”
Austin was considered to be an elite professional prospect on May 18, 2010 when he posted on Twitter, “I live In club LIV so I get the tenant rate. bottles comin (sic) like its (sic) a giveaway.”

That message ignited an NCAA investigation that determined Austin had received impermissible benefits from an agent. The investigation expanded as the weeks and months passed, and it eventually uncovered several major violations within the UNC football program.

Ain't it sweet we can talk about football and be serious about it in the ACC.

Face it JP your in with a bunch of losers. I'm cool with it.

And as far as USC. Well we all know they are a wee bit low on the SEC totem pole.

Wow....that sure is awful punishment for USC. Fly on an elephant.
I know you CU fans were hoping for the death penalty and forfeiture
of at least one of those 3 straight butt bustings. NOT.
It will not be pretty for CU come late November.
USC fans, coaches and PLAYERS will not forget that 3 year old's rant after the last whipping.
The gas pedal will stay on the floor for the next one even when CU players are begging for mercy.
Name your poison....USC vs CU straight up.
ACC Champs vs SEC chumps.
My money is on the chumps.
ACC football...laughing stock of a nation.
;)

I'm in on that bet as usually. Maybe when I finally see you I'll owe you a gallon of the smooth but powerful stuff. I'm not afraid of losing. I've gotten good at it like JP, Chuck and especially Richard.

Had a good time last year. Let's get it on the calendar and do it.

lol at the CU folks talking trash about SC.

Seriously, when you've been embarrassed three years in a row in football, and lost to your rival in every single major sport this year, you just need to be quiet and take it like a man. Your chance to talk smack will come back one day, but it ain't today.

Now, I've got to head to Columbia and watch our baseball team try to win the conference and prepare for our third straight national title in baseball.

Have a good weekend...

Sounds like you poor old cocks are still suffering from the "little man's" syndrome, humility is a hard lesson to learn I suppose :hillbilly:

Not at all. We've got bigger fish to fry than you guys. If y'all don't make a conference move soon, you will be relegated to afterthought status forever.

I agree I would like to see Clemson move to the SEC and become the bitch of the party. Plus I'd get to see Georgia man spank them all over the field.

Sanctions, probations, sounds like a legal thread nothing about,........oh never mind that is football in the Carolina's;)

Clemson landed the #1 recruit in the country yesterday in case folks hadn't noticed, just another elite recruiting class in the works.

too bad clemson can't do anything with the talent once they get them on the field!
