The winner of the SEC east will either be Georgia or S.Car....we will find out early!

Looks like the season is coming into form EXACTLY as you'd expect...

Perfect mentor for knuckle head Garcia:

South Carolina assistant coach G.A. Mangus was in jail on Tuesday morning after being charged with nuisance conduct. The third-year quarterbacks coach was arrested after being caught urinating in public, a source told GamecockCentral.com.

GamecockCentral.com - Mangus suspended indefinitely

Thats probably one of the least offensive things you can expect from a USuC fan.

my buddy who's a bama fan took a tour of clemson years ago. While on the tour they went to death valley. His group were the only ones in the stadium. He left the group to go back across the field to use the rest room and saw the rock along the way. He peed on the famous rock!

that is a CAPITAL offense......punishable by death:mad:

Good move. Probably not the first one to do that.

Davis out as UNC coach

Pure hilarity that UNC had Butchie spewing his lies and BS at Pinehurst all week...

Why wait so long to get rid of this clown??? Who is running the show in Chapel Hell?????

Davis out as UNC coach

Chapel Hill, N.C. — Butch Davis has been fired as the head football coach of the University of North Carolina according to multiple sources.
The Board of Trustees met Wednesday starting at 1 p.m. with a closed door session as part of the schedule. According to the agenda, closed door items included meetings with the Audit and Finance Committee and the University Affairs committee.
“To restore confidence in the University of North Carolina and our football program, it’s time to make a change,” said UNC Chancellor Holden Thorp. “What started as a purely athletic issue has begun to chip away at this University’s reputation."

Thorp said the decision was not related to any change in the NCAA investigation, but that it was the result of the cumulative damage to the University’s reputation over the past year.
"I have been deliberate in my approach to understanding this situation fully, and I have worked to be fair to everyone involved," Thorp said." However, I have lost confidence in our ability to come through this without harming the way people think of this institution. Our academic integrity is paramount and we must work diligently to protect it. The only way to move forward and put this behind us is to make a change.”
The NCAA began investigating the UNC football program since last summer on allegations that players got improper benefits or had engaged in disallowed relationships with agents and boosters. In December, UNC identified 10 people – three of them former players – who provided some benefit to players on the 2010 UNC team.
The university also conducted an internal investigation into allegations of academic misconduct by players. Improprieties were found in player relations with a tutor, Jennifer Wiley. Senior Michael McAdoo was one of the player found to have accepted improper benefits from the tutor and was ruled ineligible for the 2010 season. Recently, media outlets have determined that much of a paper in question was plagiarized.
Fourteen players missed some or all of the games played in the 2010 season. The NCAA declared two of them, wide receiver Greg Little and defensive end Robert Quinn, permanently ineligible, and UNC kicked a third, defensive tackle Marvin Austin, off the team.
“Athletics and football are an important part of this University, and a successful football program is essential to the overall health of our athletic program,” Thorp said. “That’s why we have to put this behind us and move forward.”
At the ACC Football Kickoff held in Pinehurst, N.C., players supported Davis as their head coach.
“I completely support Butch Davis,” junior offensive lineman Jonathan Cooper said. “(I) love him to death. He’s a player’s coach.”
According to the university bylaws, Board of Trustees serve four-year terms that expire July 1, of odd-numbered years. The previous meeting for the Board was May 25. For incoming Board members, this was their first meeting.

Yeah that is a blow. I hear Clemson will be picking him up.

no thanks......:flipoff2: you Tar Holes are getting what you deserve, it is nice to see UNC has a little integrity left though and got rid of that POS....... to bad it didn't happen sooner or they could have saved some face.

I think they did what was best for the school. It will be interesting to see if the athletic director is next on the chopping block.

It was only a matter of time. Lots of people, UNC blue bloods included, predicted this exact outcome when Butch was hired in '06.

This is only the tip of the iceberg. It sounds like Baddour is next, maybe this week and possibly even today. Then Thorp gets thrown on the fire. The dominoes will continue to fall through this season and possibly set UNC football back for another lost decade. Wait until the phone records come out...

All of this for a lying, cheating HC who posted a sterling 28-23 record.

It is going to be even better to see the "I support Butch" bumper stickers now...

Baddour is out.

Pretty sure the ship is sunk. I look forward to the 2021 season when we will have finally overcome our bad rep. Oh well at least we have basketball and baseball to fall back on.
