Good thing I am not a contractor then. I keep them both honest.

I guess submitting a pay app. for DD level drawings that are barely SD level is pretty honest business, huh?

Vandy is not a test, they suck, the fact that you lose to them semi annually and make it a test says something about your team though.

Clemson's schedule is definitely harder.

and Wake seems to always be an easy W when you play them away!

John just wanted to say I'm sorry for your loss. I still cannot believe someone would poison those trees.

What an idiot.

:clap::popcorn::cheers:

I didn't mean this about the trees, I was talking about the USC/CU chipping.
Better than a midget circus.

Why Did Stephen Garcia Choke Against FSU?

South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia had one of the worst games of his career in the Chick-Fil-A bowl against Florida State.

After throwing just nine interceptions during the entire 2010 regular season, Garcia threw three picks in the first half against the Seminoles – staking Florida State to a 10-point halftime lead. Garcia also completed just 56 percent of his passes against the ‘Noles – well below his season average of 64.2 percent.

Favored heading into the game, South Carolina wound up losing 26-17 – although most of the post-game focus was on the first half injury to star freshman running back Marcus Lattimore, not Garcia’s poor play.

That’s understandable. With Lattimore out of the lineup last season, South Carolina coughed up a huge second half lead against Kentucky and put just 21 points on the board against Vanderbilt.

They were helpless, in other words …

With Lattimore? They defeated multiple SEC powerhouses including Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee en route to the school’s first-ever SEC East championship.

But was the loss of Lattimore the only reason head coach Steve Spurrier’s team choked in its third consecutive bowl game?

“Not so much,” we’re hearing …

Multiple sources tell FITS that Garcia – who is known to party like a rock star – was involved in a massive, all-night bender in his hotel room the night before the bowl game. In fact, Garcia’s alleged party became so raucous that the S.C. Highway Patrol – which provided security for the team during its stay in Atlanta – was called to investigate.

Upon entering Garcia’s hotel room, they are said to have discovered the quarterback in a highly-intoxicated state in the company of five different young women – two of whom were completely naked.

We know, we know … more power to him, right? He’s 21 years old, and there’s obviously no law (yet) against enjoying some female companionship.

But what happened after the quarterback was busted?

Rather than let Garcia sleep his big night off, our sources say that the USC coaching staff forced him to run on a treadmill while he was still hungover. There was reportedly even talk of benching him for the bowl game – or at least sitting him out for a series.

Obviously Spurrier chose to start him, but Garcia clearly wasn’t himself.

Garcia is a rising senior who is coming off of his best season ever (3,059 passing yards, 20 touchdowns, 148.7 quarterback rating). Still, he’s notoriously undisciplined and hasn’t impressed coaches with his work ethic – or lack thereof.

He’s also no stranger to trouble. After a pair of arrests in 2007 (his redshirt year), Garcia was busted again in 2008 for underage drinking.

Sources close to the S.C. Highway Patrol have confirmed the first-hand accounts we’ve been provided about Garcia’s big night in Atlanta, although no one from the agency will go on the record. Also, the University of South Carolina has declined to comment on the allegations.

Whatever happened in Atlanta, we’re not trying to bash Garcia. We’re big fans of his, actually – and he’s obviously the most talented quarterback the Gamecocks have had in some time (perhaps since Steve Taneyhill).

Garcia is also an honest-to-God “football player” – a tough runner who takes big hits and hangs in the pocket even when its collapsing – which is probably the biggest compliment you can pay a quarterback.

Still … Garcia has yet to fully realize his potential, in large part because he remains unfocused and undisciplined off the field.

That’s fine when you’re a redshirt freshman, but it’s inexcusable from a fifth-year senior.

Anyway, let’s hope 2011 is the year Garcia puts everything together. South Carolina fans deserve a monster year out of him … and more than any other player save Lattimore, as he goes – so go the Gamecocks.

Garcia gets his act together and we don't even need to worry about what our secondary does this season.

With all our 6ft+ and 200+lbs recievers and great running game with Lattimore no one would be able to hang the points with us.

However Garcia getting his act together is about as high as our chances of clinching an SEC east.

It in theory CAN happen, just need all the stars to align before it happens.

Most impressive thing Garcia has ever done is in that story, no not 3000 passing yards, 2 naked women while 3 others are there.

agreed, I now have a new found respect for him....:grinpimp:

back in the day (about 10 years ago) when a highly sought after S.Car running back Holtz recruited and later got kicked out of the shcool for smoking pot outside a club in greenville stuff like that happened.

When said RB was in HS and i partied with groups of people he partied/played football with stuff like that happened.

Urban myth. Great story just not true.

Well that settles that. An attorney and blue chip USuC homey says it's not true. How can argue? How could a lawyer lie?

Glad to see ya dropped any pretense that you are not just a CU homey.
'Bout time you came out of the closet.

Being in the middle of a crowd of Gamecock fans at Fluor Field Tuesday night finished off any last sympathy for that group.
I wish the team all the best but I'm nauseated to be thought of as one of the fans.

It was fun as a student but it's become an embarrassment as an alumnus.

Shows how good my sources are

Seems a couple of nights before the bowl game this guy DID break curfew.
If the bit about the 5 women is also true.......he's my hero.

South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier has suspended senior quarterback Stephen Garcia for the first week of spring practice.

Low: Garcia Out Of Chances?

If Stephen Garcia doesn't respond following his suspension, and if backup Connor Shaw outplays him this spring or even plays him to a draw, there's no doubt Shaw will be the Gamecocks' starting QB to open the 2011 season, writes ESPN.com's Chris Low. Blog

The Gamecocks opened spring practice Tuesday, and Garcia was not present. Spurrier confirmed Garcia's suspension after practice Tuesday. Reserve quarterback Andrew Clifford has also been suspended for the first part of spring practice. Spurrier said both players should be back next week.

"This was something that happened earlier that we're finally getting around to handling," Spurrier said. "[Garcia's] actually been pretty good this semester. This is something that happened in the past. We just got around to handling it. It's just a violation of team rules. He'll be back next week to answer all [the media's] questions."

This is the third different time in Garcia's career that he's been suspended for at least a part of spring practice. He missed all or most of spring practice in both 2007 and 2008 following multiple arrests for charges ranging from public drunkenness to vandalizing a professor's car.

Sources told ESPN.com that Garcia's latest suspension stems from a curfew violation at the team hotel in Atlanta the week of South Carolina's 26-17 loss to Florida State last season in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

The incident occurred a few nights before the game, and Spurrier considered at the time suspending Garcia for a portion of the bowl game. But backup quarterback Connor Shaw was ill and running a fever, and the Gamecocks weren't sure he would be able to play.

Garcia completed 19-of-34 passes for 234 yards against the Seminoles but was intercepted three times.

Spurrier had already stated that the competition this spring for the starting quarterback job would be open. He said the same thing last spring when Shaw was just a true freshman after questioning Garcia's focus and commitment level.

Shaw played some during the first month of last season and actually replaced Garcia for the final part of the fourth quarter in the Gamecocks' 35-27 loss at Auburn.

But from there, it was pretty much Garcia's show, as the Gamecocks made their first ever trip to the SEC championship game.

Garcia finished third in the SEC with 3,059 passing yards and tied for fourth with 20 touchdown passes, but he also led the league with 14 interceptions. Five of those came in his last two games -- both South Carolina losses.
