Is there a budget in mind for this build, or do you guys go all out?

Good question @rkymtnflyfisher, yes we definitely have a budget for this and every build. If you haven't checked out the website yet, please do (www.fj.co). Here you can custom design the cruiser of your dreams. We offer some very cool custom features as well as the classic features that we have all grown to love. As you go through and build yours, you can pick paint color, drivetrain, wheels, tires and more, and you end up with a very cool rig and a price that reflects your choices. This one came in around $100k.

With the Aspen build, we wanted to showcase some of our higher-end offerings such as the 1FZ/5-speed combo, top of the line sound system, custom interior, and a few custom touches that really make this truck stand out.

I've built a few on your website. Lots of fun

Definitely some top notch, clean work. Keep it going we all like to see builds like this, I can only dream of putting a rig like that together.

So SEMA is here, almost....one more day! Tomorrow will be our first big reveal of this latest creation, be sure to swing by our booth #51315 in the Performance Pavilion to see it in person.

This cruiser is showcasing some of our nicest work yet. Here's a couple more interior shots to show off our latest concoction of modern features wrapped in a classic package.

These Recaro seats were re-upholstered with a very sleek vinyl fabric that has proved to be very durable but also very pleasing to the eye. When the going gets tough the Sparco harnesses are there to keep you planted firmly, makes you feel "one with the FJ".

Quite possibly one of my favorite modifications to this build was the reworking of the factory dash layout. Very clean and functional.

Here you can see the upholstery work continued into the rear jump seats, as well as the lighting supplied by some added LED lights, dome lights for each side, plus one under each jump seat. Perfect amount of light to illuminate the interior for those late nights in the wilderness. We also opted for this very stout, yet tight fitting roll cage for some added safety on and off road.

Our sound system sounds as good as it looks with this clean door panel and flush mounted speaker.

Can't wait to reveal this truck to the public tomorrow, hope ya'll enjoyed this build as much as we did! SEMA 2016!!!

"Perfect amount of light to illuminate the interior for those late nights in the wilderness."

Amazing work, but this made me chuckle. I am a little doubtful this 40 will spend much time in the wilderness.

me too... I think the "oh s*** bar" may be best used for when someone spills their pumpkin spice latte :-)

Beautiful truck!

Were you guys able to get the high, low, and park working with the original wiper motor and aftermarket switch? I did, but it took a LOT of brainpower, a few hours, a couple beers, 2 relays, a Coolerman wiring diagram, and my trusty Power Probe!

What 5.25 JL Audio speaker is thin enough to be flush like this?

Awesome...will be checking the SEMA website. Totally inspired especially with the FZ and 5speed...didnt know that was possible. I guess the FJ 43 longer chassis helps.

Good question, Yes it was a challenge. With some creative wiring and a few extra pieces we were able to make it work.

Is H4 achieved with an electrical switch on this transfer case? I noticed the lever only has H2 and L4 options. I like the Carling switches with the FJ40 on them, nice touch.

We used the H151F Transmission out of a Non-US 80 series along with the corresponding manual-shift transfer case. So it is unique compared to the US 80 series. The shifter pulls rearward to engage 4High, then you pull the shifter up, then rearward further to engage 4Low.

What 5.25 JL Audio speaker is thin enough to be flush like this?

You will notice that this truck is using wing/vent windows. This allowed us the door space with the smaller window to fit a decent sized speaker, so these speakers would contact the window on a full window cruiser.

Might or might not, but at least it started out life right in AZ.

SEMA is here, our first day was very exciting and we are looking forward to showing off this beauty to the rest of the SEMA crowd throughout the week.

If your near Las Vegas, please stop in and say hello and check out our latest build "The Aspen Project".

This flat white paint ties into the Aspen theme as well as give it a custom touch without getting too far away from the original color. So far it has an odd attraction of people wanting to touch it.

This classic styled 8274 Warn Winch will handle rescue duties when this truck gets in over it's head.

We decided to modify the design of the factory style soft top slightly to allow for a sunroof of sorts.

The Dakota Digital Instrument Cluster does a great job of monitoring the vitals with a little FJ Company flavor.

The underside is just as clean with all rebuilt drive train, OME Suspension, and full stainless exhaust with a Borla muffler.
