i just bought a new coleman 2-burner stove from sports authority. $55.
one of the burners was bent off angle, which i was able to carefully bend it back without rupturing anything.
also, the regulator from the gas bottle in non-adjustable and even with the burners wide open you still only get a tiny blue flame.

A brand new model I assume? I'm honestly not too warm (pun intended) with many of the newer Coleman products. The pre-80's stuff was rock solid.

they had 2 in stock and i chose the one without the hole in the package box. wrong choice i guess. i guess i should've pulled it out of the packing styro but i didn't want to look like a crook.
oh well, it works... ain't gonna sweat it. just kinda hard to see if its lit or not in direct sunlight 'cuz the flame's so tiny.
Have two camp stoves and two lanterns.
One lantern and one stove came with my house, the other two came from my Grandfather.
Lantern #1 is a 200A from 1951, with the "Christmas Tree" color combo. Original glass. Unmolested original other than adding an igniter.
Lantern #2 is a 220 from either 1931 or 1941. Nickel plated, and the one my dad remembers going on all the camping trips when he grew up in the 40's.
Only have a photo of #1 at this point. Still cleaning up the 220, and then will dive into the two stoves.

picked up a coleman "fridge" and I must say it works quite well. It struggles a bit when hot out but at night it can really get your stuff nice and cold. It works in your car or in the house. Pretty damn cheap too at 80 bucks. It's not as good or heavy duty at as the $700+ fridges but for 80 bucks it does the same thing. No regrets in buying it. I carried a full load in it for 3 days during 80*F days and she stayed right around 38-42*F depending on how long the truck was off for.
Quick question, my old neighbor said there is/was a kit to convert white gas lanterns and stoves to run on diesel. Anyone know or use such a kit? Any experience with one? With a diesel rig it would be easy to refill on trips.

Here is my old stove. Two burner. Not sure of the year, and I can't seem to find a date anywhere. I used it a few times in the last couple years.

Picked up a 413E at a yard sale for $5.00
Bonus for the propane conversion piece in it as well!
I fired it up (with gasoline) and it pumped up and ran just fine
Then I put the propane converter on it. DAMN! Way more BTU's with the propane setup..
I'm thinking that I want to mount this stove in my chuck wagon trailer instead of the 80's standard colemen propane stove I have. I will probably run it on pane most of the time. Leave the white gas tank full just in case.
Guess I need to clean it up now.

If you got more BTUs, then the generator tube that goes from the tank to the burners needs cleaning or replacement. As it gets clogged up the fuel flow drops.

Ive got a very similar one, I just bead blasted it and had it powder coated a few weeks ago, though it only runs on propane it appears.
Ill have to take some pics and post em...
