I spoke with Curtis about a possible group buy. He said he could give it for $325 shipped to your door if we could get 6 people or more. Anyone here needing a dc driveshaft? I am currently running this driveshaft on one of my cruisers. No problems as long as you get the flanges milled which is included in the price. If we could get more than 6 then maybe i can ask him again if we could get more discount. I am buying 2, so i need 4 more for that price. Thanks.

When do you need to give him notice? I should know by Sunday if a DC shaft is in the cards.

crap.. ordered one from him yesterday.

So he isn't going to make 6 individually different length DC driveshafts for a group buy? That sounds like a good deal. When does this need to happen by? I am likely going to need new drive shafts made late June/ mid July when I do my motor swap. Also, aren't you just saving $25 shipping over regular cost? I remember seeing an eBay ad recently that says he will make your dc driveshaft wig spiced 1310 joints for $325 and $25 shipping.

Most likely by end of may. You can specify your length since we dont have the same lift height. Yes its not that big of a discount but if your getting one anyway, why not get some discount with the group right? I will ask him if we can get a bigger discount if we get more people.

Be sure to specify the Spicer Life Series joints. Very well made joint, strongest 1310 joint ever made (no grease passages help here) and maintenance free.

Why do the flanges need to be milled ??, most are already face turned
I dont know what you mean by face turned. What I am referring to is the bolt holes on the flanges. The flanges are too thick compared to the OEM ones. You will have a problem bolting it to the transfer case side. So basically he will send those flanges to a machine shop. The machine shop would mill the bolt holes so that the oem bolts would fit.

Ok gotcha, what I mean by face turning, they are actually, turned during manufacturing that's why you see all of those lines/circular lines on it

The Spicer flange is quite thick compared to the original equipment so it needs to be taken down to at least .300". The shop that made mine went down to .290". That way you end up with full thread engagement of the nut.

just an fyi, have a tatton shaft up front and installed before a big moab trip, no issues whatsoever, beat the snot out of my truck and the thing drives 70 mph no vibes all day long. I realized on this trip how much I like having full time 4x4 when weather would hit while traveling along the highway. Full time 4x4 is nice to have at 65 mph in the rain.
