Can I still get in on this? Do I just need to call Curtis directly or do I need to send info to @ARB777 ?

I just talked to Curtis. Just call him up and tell him you are part of the group buy put together by Art for the LC's.

Just ordered. Got the HD joints he said it was 36 bucks more glad to pay it. Seems like cool old dude providing a great service
We agreed its now just additional $25 for the life series. So that it will be $350 shipped if you chose to get the life joints. I just called him and clarified this.

Final specs of this groupbuy:
Double cardan driveshaft for 80 series land cruiser of your specified length and joints.
Regular spicer joints-$325 shipped
Spicer life series joints-$350 shipped

8 driveshafts orders in place already
7 of those are confirmed
1 paypal pending

Where is the payment being sent? to you? or to Curtis?

Pay curtis by phone :)

I called curtis and told him two people expressed interest and may call him today. Once all orders are in by today, he can send the flanges to the machine shop to be milled. Depending on how soon he gets the flanges back, he can send out driveshafts by wednesday or as late as friday. Sounds reasonable to me but if anyone is in a hurry then let me know and ill see what i can do. Thanks.

I was hoping to get the ds by the first of June so I could drive it on a trip the following weekend. Slight chance, but it is what it is.

Cheers,
Salue

Curtis was a pleasure to work with I used his shafts on a old jeep they were the only part that did not break!!!!

You guys are getting a good deal. I paid $490 each for my DC shafts made at a local driveline shop with Spicer life series Joints in the Spicer CV and a Matsuba joint at the pinions.

My only question is, what tube wall thickness did you specify? This may not be a concern for some folks.

I just put on my 30mm front spring spacers this weekend and now have the vibes.
Hopefully its not too late to jump in on this deal.

Oh man. That sucks. Looks like I totally missed this. Hopefully this will be offered again in the future if we can get another 6 or more people together. Tatton shafts are really good.

I saw this yesterday after driving with no front driveshaft for about 6 months due to the Tacoma double cardan failing that I have mated to the original slip yoke. I just got off the phone with Curtis and he is building a front dc shaft and a new rear non-dc (since mine vibrates from a bent yoke after slamming it into a rock) for $550. After all I've read on here and other offroad forums he seems to know what he's doing and was very nice and knowledgeable on the phone. I'm really looking forward to having 4wd again, especially after almost getting stuck in a creek a couple weeks ago. It's surprising how well it does in 2wd with it's heavy rear though.

I need to get a DC front shaft for my '96, I have OME 2.5" lift with caster bushings, not sure how to specify measurements..
\
Also need to replace universal on rear shaft, can they send the right universal?

(assuming I should call them : )

I'd recommend giving them a call. 31.5 is pretty standard and doesn't change much with standard lifts due to radius arms. Measure from the center of the flange mounting surface to center of flange mounting surface. you can measure from the center height-wise of the flange surface next to it if you don't want to remove it. I'm using OME 850J front springs with a relatively heavy winch bumber and australian style washer mod for caster.
