I am sure that will be educational. I look forward to what you find. Thank you for doing it!

These apparently filter better, but how much better? Do they do anything else better? Last longer, better anti-drainback valve, better oil flow in gallons per minute??? Are they better than say a Mobil 1 extended performance filter? I usually use the large 41010 or the Mobil 1 filter. The main/recurring issue that I have experienced over the years is that the antidrainback valves seems to stop working (on just about any cruiser) somewhere around 6-7K miles and then I start getting more start-up rattle than when the filter is new.
I read through some of this thread, so if I missed it, I apologize in advance; just looking for facts and trying to get educated, not stoned by the crowd.
If nothing else, it makes you "feel" better, knowing these are the filters that Cdan uses.![]()

Last I heard, Dan uses the old style "big" filter. He also drinks Keystone beer and is so tight he squeezes a nickle 'till the buffalo farts. However, he is more than happy to bring in these from Japan and sell us the "good" filters. I still have a case but now I have 3 vehicles that use this filter so I will pick up another case or two next week.

I use the 90915-20004 on my vehicle. I have since they first came on the scene in 1996.
For all of you 90915-20004 junkies, look what arrived today at American Toyota....

Regarding these -20004 filters; one of our guys just bought a new Tacoma V-6. We were giving it the once over and the oil filter is a -20004 from the factory. Does this mean Toyota is going to put them in regular stock again?
