Speedhut gauge criticism

So my speed huts are hooked up to the OEM dimmer, however it kind of "ratchets" the lighting dim to bright, its not a smooth dimming. Will switching over to the speedhut supplied dimmer fix that? Anybody with the speedhut gauges able to let me know? Thanks!

Haha I know. Was going for the stock look. It works fine but just not a smooth dim. I wonder if it’s wired any different (I had torfab put them in) or I can just direct swap the speedhut dimmer in. Anybody put this in stock location?

If I remember correctly Toyota uses the ground side for the dimmer and SpeedHut uses the positive side.

It didn’t work for me. I am using a Toyota dimmer for everything but the Speedhut gauges. For those I had to use their dimmer.

My post isn’t criticism at all, this thread just seems to be the culmination of all the speedhut info. I love my gauges! I’ll try and trade out the dimmer for theirs.

Speedhut Gauges in your 60... wow! Best money spent!

I found this picture of a FJ60 instrument panel converted to Speedhut gauges. The gauges look really well and can be customized depending on what you want. Color choices, etc. Has anybody converted their panel? Look to have a great warranty. Closer look at the gauges. Speedometer/ Tach combo...
