I like the "Land Cruiser" on the snorkel, even looks like the right font.

Now I have myself wondering about a painted snorkel. The quality of the plastic is unknown ( at least on the 100's). But three things about longevity and maintenance. 1) if I paint the snorkel, the plastic will not receive UV's and possibly fade and become brittle, but the flat black paint is another layer that can trap heat. 2) I don't paint it, allow the snorkel to run bare, and keep it clean with some sort of "car sunscreen" if that even exist, and take my chances...3) I clear coat it and run it like that.

Thoughts?

I wish the FZJ80 snorkel had the same stamp

x3 I really wish the 80 series had the LAND CRUISER stamp on it as well...

I have to say the land cruiser on the side has me sold. This will be my next purchase

You better look again if the only reason you are buying this is for the stamp... it won't have it on to fit your 92 it is for the 100 series.

I did a worse job installing mine. figured out the template, drilled every hole perfectly. Right when I go to do the big 4" hold, my drill takes a s*** and starts smoking. Looks like I need a beefier drill tomorrow. Guess I'll go to Home Depot with a half moon and 6 holes iny fender  :meh:

Dude!

Last week apparently the mechanics said to each other all I needed was a snorkel. LC went back to the shop full of fender holes this week! Just got her back tonight so haven't finished the snorkel. Snowing outside.

I love my Milwaukee M18 cordless tools. Got good deals on Amazon, especially with large multi-tool packages. Of course, then you're talking some bucks.

Milwaukee tools suck azz, and i live in WI and preach buy local. They make a good boom box tho. Milwaukee tools now makes it all in china, and it shows.

I should have it done by lunch tomorrow. A friend of mine is driving down with a MUCH better drill. Hopefully I'll blow the rest of that hole out, mount the damn snorkel and be on the road!!!

Oh, it was 70*F and sunny here. :D :flipoff2:

Good luck cutting through that half a hole!

Hey, when you're done, drive down to Valdosta and buy my house! I left in summer 2009 and still am stuck with that thing. It's rented, but I lose money. Good thing it's next to an Air Force base (where I was stationed when I bought it).

I'll take snow in April over skeeters and gnats and humidity any day.
