We've been to this area a few times now and still haven't scratched the surface yet. Wngrog's idea of the party being held there is a great idea, so much to see and do. For all of us beverage lovers (Bob, Jim, Etc.) it is a dry county, so BYOB! :)

Sounds like a great trip, love exploring unknown roads...always exciting!

Now that's what it's all about! Excellent trip!

So the trees are across the road south of the River going out towards Snowball Arkansas?

Was it more than one?

On that road about 1/2 way to Richland Creek there is a geologic formation called “The Nars” for The Narrows

The cliff along the Buffalo is very thin. You would never know if you were in the road or the river

The road is blue arrow. Buffalo red. The camp beach is directly behind us to the north

Not far from crossing the Buffalo heading back towards Snowball is where the trees where down. One big oak took out two others going down. That road is called Richland rd. on my map. I couldn't find any reference to 14 on the map, but did see it once posted on the road. Very confusing. :) We never seen that rock, would of been cool, was that a drone shot?

I'm going to post this here, so next week I'll know where to find it. A big thanks to Roadstr6 for lighting a fire under me and getting it done. On this last trip my door started to act funny, the little star wheel (gear) isn't spinning as it should. This Winter I'm taking apart the front doors, so thought I'd replace that whole inner mechanism. The ones I have in stock are in need of repair such as Roadstr6 posted about. As always with me there will be something not right or go wrong and I learn a good lesson from it. I picked a driver's front (which all four doors are different, you can't inner change them) and rebuilt it. All you need to do is cut the front off, make a new piece and weld it on.

Here is a pair of fronts left and right, I rebuilt the one the right.

Looking at my driver's door I noticed a different looking mechanism, here's the difference, these are both driver's front...

The one on the right is the one I fixed and the left is like what I have in the door. One has a cut out (flat area) that the striker plate fits into.

I believe all mine are from 71 and 69 year vehicles, not sure what other years look like. So it looks like I'll be fixing another one to match what I have in the wagon. Each door has it's own part that can't be switched with another, so welding in a new piece is the answer.

After the 2019 SSS I got the wagon washed down and waiting for the next great adventure. I've got a few things to do to it this Winter, but all in all she's ready to roll other than repack and drain everything.

I believe the next big step is to move up to a RTT and that would require a roof rack. I really like the ones Dogfishlake makes ( look at the pictures of the SSS) he brought one down on his wagon. 👍 Anyway, with Fall hitting here the mower is parked and I can focus on shop projects like the Hydroboost brakes.

We call it "penthouse camping." With the annex below and the ARB awning with enclosure, we have a 3-bedroom Pig! We haven't had occasion to use it all at once but it's nice to have the options.
